Explanation
Az-Zahir is the Manifest, the Ascendant, the Evident. He is manifest through His signs, His creation, and His attributes. Though we cannot see Him with physical eyes, His existence is the most obvious and apparent reality in the universe. The design of a leaf, the laws of physics, the human conscience — all scream the existence of Az-Zahir. The Prophet ﷺ said: "...You are the Manifest, there is nothing above You."
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting "Ya Zahir" grants clarity of vision and understanding. It opens the inner eyes to see the signs of Allah in the physical world. It also grants victory over enemies, as Az-Zahir means the Ascendant who is above all creation.
