Explanation
Al-Hadi is the Guide. He guides animals to their migration routes, babies to their mother's milk, and human hearts to the truth of Islam. Guidance is solely in His hands; even the Prophet ﷺ could not guide those he loved if Allah did not decree it (28:56). Al-Hadi provides the map (the Quran), the compass (the intellect), and the internal pull (Fitrah) to find Him.
Virtues & Benefits
We ask Al-Hadi for guidance at least 17 times a day in Surah Al-Fatiha: "Ihdinas-Siratal-Mustaqim" (Guide us to the straight path). Reciting "Ya Hadi" is powerful for someone feeling lost in life, facing a difficult decision, or seeking guidance for a straying loved one.
