Prayer Time Calculation
Salah times are derived astronomically from the sun's position for a location's exact latitude and longitude. Because scholarly bodies define the twilight angles for Fajr and Isha differently, we support the internationally recognized calculation methods, including:
- Muslim World League (MWL)
- Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)
- Umm al-Qura University, Makkah
- University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi
- Egyptian General Authority of Survey
Asr time can be calculated by the Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) or Hanafi juristic method. Because the correct method depends on your region and madhhab, timings should be matched to the convention followed by your local mosque.
Hijri Date & Islamic Calendar
The Islamic (Hijri) calendar is lunar. We generate Hijri dates using the standard tabular/astronomical calculation, which is ideal for planning ahead. However, the start of months tied to worship — especially Ramadan, Shawwal (Eid al-Fitr), and Dhul-Hijjah (Eid al-Adha) — is confirmed by local moon sighting (ru'yah). We therefore note that calculated dates may differ by a day from the officially announced date in your country.
Qibla Direction
Qibla direction is computed as the great-circle (shortest-path) bearing from your location to the Kaaba in Makkah (21.4225° N, 39.8262° E). This is the same spherical-geometry method used by astronomical and navigation tools worldwide.
Quran & Hadith Sources
The Quranic Arabic is presented in the standard Uthmani script with established English and Urdu translations shown alongside it. Hadith are sourced from the six canonical Sunni collections, with the collection, book, chapter, and narrator recorded for each narration:

- Sunan Abu Dawud · Jami' at-Tirmidhi
- Sunan an-Nasa'i · Sunan Ibn Majah
Where a narration's authenticity grade is known, we preserve it so readers can weigh the strength of the report.
Zakat & Nisab
Our Zakat calculator applies the standard rate of 2.5% on eligible wealth held for one lunar year. The nisab (minimum threshold) is based on:

The monetary threshold is the chosen metal weight multiplied by its current market price. Many scholars recommend using the silver nisab as it benefits more recipients.

Prayer timings, Hijri dates, and seasonal timetables (such as Ramadan Sehri & Iftar) are refreshed automatically on a scheduled basis so the information you see stays current without manual re-entry.
