Explanation
Al-Latif means the Subtle, the Gentle, the One who understands the finest mysteries. Lutf (subtlety) means achieving a goal in a gentle, almost imperceptible way. Allah brings about immense changes in our lives through tiny, unseen steps. He sends His mercy in ways we don't even realize. He knows the most subtle, hidden details of your heart and situation, and He resolves your problems with a gentle, invisible hand.

Reciting "Ya Latif" 129 times is a famous practice in times of distress, depression, or seemingly impossible situations. Believers call on Al-Latif to resolve their severe trials gently, without crushing them in the process.
