Explanation
Al-Wasi is the Vast, the All-Encompassing. His mercy is vast, His knowledge is vast, His provision is vast. He cannot be restricted or contained. When humans feel cornered, stressed, or limited, Al-Wasi brings expansion. "My mercy encompasses (wasi'at) all things" (7:156). His capacity to forgive, to provide, and to understand has no borders and no limits.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting "Ya Wasi" is traditionally recommended for someone facing financial constriction or feelings of claustrophobia in life. It expands the chest, opens doors of provision, and removes narrow-mindedness.

وَاللَّهُ يَعِدُكُم مَّغْفِرَةً مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلًا ۗ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
