Explanation
Al-Muta'ali is the Supremely Exalted, the One who is elevated far beyond any attributes of creation. He is exalted above any flaw, any limit, and any human comprehension. No matter how great we imagine Allah to be, He is Muta'ali (infinitely higher). He is exalted above the falsehoods attributed to Him by those who associate partners with Him.

Reciting "Ya Muta'ali" instills deep humility and cures arrogance. It reminds the believer of their smallness in comparison to the Supremely Exalted. It is a powerful name to invoke when one feels overwhelmed by the arrogance of people in power.
