Al-Wahid is the One, the Unique, the Indivisible. He is One in His essence (having no partners), One in His attributes (none is like Him), and One in His actions (He alone creates and sustains). The entire message of Islam (Tawheed) revolves around this name. Recognizing Al-Wahid means recognizing that there is no other source of power, no other being worthy of worship, and no other ultimate reality.
