Explanation
Al-Mughni is the Enricher, the Bestower of Wealth. While Al-Ghani refers to His own internal richness, Al-Mughni refers to His action of enriching His creation. He grants material wealth to whom He wills to test them, and He grants spiritual wealth (contentment and faith) to whom He loves. He enriches the mind with knowledge, the heart with tranquility, and the body with health.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting "Ya Mughni" is historically practiced by those facing financial distress or seeking lawful sustenance. More importantly, it is invoked to seek spiritual enrichment — asking Allah to make the heart so rich in faith that it desires nothing but Him.
