Explanation
Ar-Razzaq is the Supreme Provider of all rizq (sustenance) — not just food, but every form of provision: health, knowledge, relationships, spiritual nourishment, opportunities. The Quran states explicitly: "There is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision" (11:6). Ar-Razzaq provides for the ant inside the rock, the fish at the bottom of the ocean, the bird before dawn — all without being asked.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet ﷺ recommended reciting "Bismillah" before eating and working — acknowledging Ar-Razzaq as the true source. Reciting "Ya Razzaq" abundantly before starting any business, job application, or significant undertaking connects the effort to its true source of provision.
