Explanation
Al-Wadud is the Most Loving, the Affectionate. While "Hubb" is internal love, "Wudd" is love expressed through action. Allah does not just love His servants; He expresses it by providing for them, guiding them, and forgiving them. He is the source of all affection in the universe. If Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibreel and says, "I love so-and-so, therefore love him," and that love is spread across the earth.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting "Ya Wadud" 1,000 times (as practiced by some scholars) is said to resolve disputes between spouses or family members, pouring affection back into broken relationships. It cures the feeling of being unloved or isolated.
