Explanation
Al-Baqi is the Ever-Enduring, the Everlasting. Everything in this physical universe is subject to decay, aging, and eventual death. Mountains erode, stars burn out, and empires fall. But Al-Baqi remains forever, unchanged and unaffected by time. He is the only constant. Good deeds done for His sake are called "Al-Baqiyat As-Salihat" (the enduring good deeds) because they survive death and last for eternity.
