Al-Muqit is the Sustainer and the Nourisher. While Ar-Razzaq gives provision generally, Al-Muqit provides the precise, exact amount of nourishment needed to sustain life at every specific moment. He gives the body its physical food (qut), the mind its knowledge, and the heart its spiritual nourishment. He oversees and sustains all things, giving everyone exactly what they need to survive today.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting "Ya Muqit" over water and having a misbehaving child drink it is a traditional practice to nourish their heart with good character. It is the perfect name to call upon when you feel spiritually empty and starved.
