Explanation
Ar-Rashid is the Guide to the Right Path, the Unerring Director. While Al-Hadi means the Guide, Ar-Rashid emphasizes the wisdom and flawless execution of that guidance. He directs all affairs to their correct destination without needing advice or consultation. He guides the believer to make the wisest, most mature (rushd) decisions, steering them away from foolishness and ruin.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting "Ya Rashid" is highly recommended when one is confused, lacks wisdom, or is trying to make a difficult decision. The youth of the Cave (Ashab al-Kahf) prayed for "Rashad" (right guidance) when they fled to the cave, and Allah guided their steps perfectly.
