وَقَالَ مَحْمُودٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَتْ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ وَالنَّاسُ يُصَلُّونَ قُلْتُ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ‏.‏ فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ فَأَشَارَتْ بِرَأْسِهَا أَىْ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قَالَتْ فَأَطَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جِدًّا حَتَّى تَجَلاَّنِي الْغَشْىُ وَإِلَى جَنْبِي قِرْبَةٌ فِيهَا مَاءٌ فَفَتَحْتُهَا فَجَعَلْتُ أَصُبُّ مِنْهَا عَلَى رَأْسِي، فَانْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَدْ تَجَلَّتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَخَطَبَ النَّاسَ، وَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏"‏ أَمَّا بَعْدُ ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالَتْ وَلَغِطَ نِسْوَةٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، فَانْكَفَأْتُ إِلَيْهِنَّ لأُسَكِّتَهُنَّ فَقُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا قَالَ قَالَتْ قَالَ ‏"‏ مَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ لَمْ أَكُنْ أُرِيتُهُ إِلاَّ قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا حَتَّى الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ، وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ مِثْلَ ـ أَوْ قَرِيبَ مِنْ ـ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ، يُؤْتَى أَحَدُكُمْ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ ـ أَوْ قَالَ الْمُوقِنُ شَكَّ هِشَامٌ ـ فَيَقُولُ هُوَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، هُوَ مُحَمَّدٌ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى فَآمَنَّا وَأَجَبْنَا وَاتَّبَعْنَا وَصَدَّقْنَا‏.‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ نَمْ صَالِحًا، قَدْ كُنَّا نَعْلَمُ إِنْ كُنْتَ لَتُؤْمِنُ بِهِ‏.‏ وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ ـ أَوْ قَالَ الْمُرْتَابُ شَكَّ هِشَامٌ ـ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَيَقُولُ لاَ أَدْرِي، سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ شَيْئًا فَقُلْتُهُ ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالَ هِشَامٌ فَلَقَدْ قَالَتْ لِي فَاطِمَةُ فَأَوْعَيْتُهُ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهَا ذَكَرَتْ مَا يُغَلِّظُ عَلَيْهِ‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated Fatima bint Al-Mundhir:Asma' bint Abi Bakr As-Siddiq said, "I went to 'Aishah and the people were offering Salat. I asked her, 'What is wrong with the people ?' She pointed towards the sky with her head. I asked her, 'Is there a sign ?' 'Aishah nodded with her head meaning 'Yes'." Asma' added, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prolonged the Salat to such an extent that I fainted. There was a waterskin by my side and I opened it and poured some water on my head. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) finished Salat, and the solar eclipse had cleared, the Prophet (ﷺ) addressed the people and praised Allah as He deserves and said, 'Amma ba'du'." Asma' further said, "Some Ansari women started talking, so I turned to them in order to make them quiet. I asked 'Aishah what the Prophet (ﷺ) had said. 'Aishah said: 'He said, 'I have seen things at this place of mine which were never shown to me before; (I have seen) even Paradise and Hell. And, no doubt it has been revealed to me that you (people) will be put in trial in your graves like or nearly like the trial of Masih Ad-Dajjal. (The angels) will come to everyone of you and ask him, 'What do you know about this man (Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)) ?" The faithful believer or firm believer (Hisham was in doubt which word the Prophet (ﷺ) used), will say, 'He is Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he is Muhammad (ﷺ) who came to us with clear evidences and guidance. So we believed him, accepted his teachings and followed and trusted his teaching.' Then the angels will tell him to sleep (in peace) as they have come to know that he was a believer. But the hypocrite or a doubtful person (Hisham is not sure as to which word the Prophet (ﷺ) used), will be asked what he knew about this man (Prophet Muhammed (ﷺ)). He will say, 'I do not know but I heard the people saying something (about him) so I said the same' " Hisham added, "Fatima told me that she remembered that narration completely by heart except that she said about the hypocrite or a doubtful person that he will be punished severely

اور محمود بن غیلان (امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ کے استاذ) نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے ہشام بن عروہ نے بیان کیا، کہ مجھے فاطمہ بنت منذر نے خبر دی، ان سے اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہما نے، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس گئی۔ لوگ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔ میں نے ( اس بے وقت نماز پر تعجب سے پوچھا کہ ) یہ کیا ہے؟ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے سر سے آسمان کی طرف اشارہ کیا۔ میں نے پوچھا کیا کوئی نشانی ہے؟ انہوں نے سر کے اشارہ سے ہاں کہا ( کیونکہ سورج گہن ہو گیا تھا ) اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دیر تک نماز پڑھتے رہے۔ یہاں تک کہ مجھ کو غشی آنے لگی۔ قریب ہی ایک مشک میں پانی بھرا رکھا تھا۔ میں اسے کھول کر اپنے سر پر پانی ڈالنے لگی۔ پھر جب سورج صاف ہو گیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز ختم کر دی۔ اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خطبہ دیا۔ پہلے اللہ تعالیٰ کی اس کی شان کے مناسب تعریف بیان کی۔ اس کے بعد فرمایا «امابعد» ! اتنا فرمانا تھا کہ کچھ انصاری عورتیں شور کرنے لگیں۔ اس لیے میں ان کی طرف بڑھی کہ انہیں چپ کراؤں ( تاکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بات اچھی طرح سن سکوں مگر میں آپ کا کلام نہ سن سکی ) تو پوچھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کیا فرمایا؟ انہوں نے بتایا کہ آپ نے فرمایا کہ بہت سی چیزیں جو میں نے اس سے پہلے نہیں دیکھی تھیں، آج اپنی اس جگہ سے میں نے انہیں دیکھ لیا۔ یہاں تک کہ جنت اور دوزخ تک میں نے آج دیکھی۔ مجھے وحی کے ذریعہ یہ بھی بتایا گیا کہ قبروں میں تمہاری ایسی آزمائش ہو گی جیسے کانے دجال کے سامنے یا اس کے قریب قریب۔ تم میں سے ہر ایک کے پاس فرشتہ آئے گا اور پوچھے گا کہ تو اس شخص کے بارے میں کیا اعتقاد رکھتا تھا؟ مومن یا یہ کہا کہ یقین والا ( ہشام کو شک تھا ) کہے گا کہ وہ محمد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہیں، ہمارے پاس ہدایت اور واضح دلائل لے کر آئے، اس لیے ہم ان پر ایمان لائے، ان کی دعوت قبول کی، ان کی اتباع کی اور ان کی تصدیق کی۔ اب اس سے کہا جائے گا کہ تو تو صالح ہے، آرام سے سو جا۔ ہم پہلے ہی جانتے تھے کہ تیرا ان پر ایمان ہے۔ ہشام نے شک کے اظہار کے ساتھ کہا کہ رہا منافق یا شک کرنے والا تو جب اس سے پوچھا جائے گا کہ تو اس شخص کے بارے میں کیا کہتا ہے تو وہ جواب دے گا کہ مجھے نہیں معلوم میں نے لوگوں کو ایک بات کہتے سنا اسی کے مطابق میں نے بھی کہا۔ ہشام نے بیان کیا کہ فاطمہ بنت منذر نے جو کچھ کہا تھا۔ میں نے وہ سب یاد رکھا۔ لیکن انہوں نے قبر میں منافقوں پر سخت عذاب کے بارے میں جو کچھ کہا وہ مجھے یاد نہیں رہا۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ أَضْحًى إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ وَقَالَ ‏"‏ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ نُسُكِنَا فِي يَوْمِنَا هَذَا أَنْ نَبْدَأَ بِالصَّلاَةِ، ثُمَّ نَرْجِعَ فَنَنْحَرَ، فَمَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ وَافَقَ سُنَّتَنَا، وَمَنْ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ شَىْءٌ عَجَّلَهُ لأَهْلِهِ، لَيْسَ مِنَ النُّسُكِ فِي شَىْءٍ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنِّي ذَبَحْتُ وَعِنْدِي جَذَعَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُسِنَّةٍ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ اذْبَحْهَا، وَلاَ تَفِي عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ ‏"‏‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated Al-Bara':The Prophet (ﷺ) went towards Al-Baqi (the graveyard at Medina) on the day of Id-ul-Adha and offered a two-rak`at prayer (of `Id-ul-Adha) and then faced us and said, "On this day of ours, our first act of worship is the offering of prayer and then we will return and slaughter the sacrifice, and whoever does this concords with our Sunna; and whoever slaughtered his sacrifice before that (i.e. before the prayer) then that was a thing which he prepared earlier for his family and it would not be considered as a Nusuk (sacrifice.)" A man stood up and said, "O, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I slaughtered (the animal before the prayer) but I have a young she-goat which is better than an older sheep." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Slaughter it. But a similar sacrifice will not be sufficient for anybody else after you

ہم سے ابونعیم فضل بن دکین نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے محمد بن طلحہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے زبید نے، ان سے شعبی نے، ان سے براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ نے، انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عید الاضحی کے دن بقیع کی طرف تشریف لے گئے اور دو رکعت عید کی نماز پڑھائی۔ پھر ہماری طرف چہرہ مبارک کر کے فرمایا کہ سب سے مقدم عبادت ہمارے اس دن کی یہ ہے کہ پہلے ہم نماز پڑھیں پھر ( نماز اور خطبے سے ) لوٹ کر قربانی کریں۔ اس لیے جس نے اس طرح کیا اس نے ہماری سنت کے مطابق کیا اور جس نے نماز سے پہلے ذبح کر دیا تو وہ ایسی چیز ہے جسے اس نے اپنے گھر والوں کے کھلانے کے لیے جلدی سے مہیا کر دیا ہے اور اس کا قربانی سے کوئی تعلق نہیں۔ اس پر ایک شخص نے کھڑے ہو کر عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! میں نے تو پہلے ہی ذبح کر دیا۔ لیکن میرے پاس ایک سال کی پٹھیا ہے اور وہ دوندی بکری سے زیادہ بہتر ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ خیر تم اسی کو ذبح کر لو لیکن تمہارے بعد کسی کی طرف سے ایسی پٹھیا جائز نہ ہو گی۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّةً جَاءَتْ تَسْأَلُهَا فَقَالَتْ لَهَا أَعَاذَكِ اللَّهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ‏.‏ فَسَأَلَتْ عَائِشَةُ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَيُعَذَّبُ النَّاسُ فِي قُبُورِهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَائِذًا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ‏.‏ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ غَدَاةٍ مَرْكَبًا، فَخَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَرَجَعَ ضُحًى، فَمَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَىِ الْحُجَرِ، ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي، وَقَامَ النَّاسُ وَرَاءَهُ، فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلاً، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلاً، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلاً، وَهْوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الأَوَّلِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلاً، وَهْوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَسَجَدَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلاً، وَهْوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلاً وَهْوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ قَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلاً وَهْوَ دُونَ الْقِيَامِ الأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَكَعَ رُكُوعًا طَوِيلاً وَهْوَ دُونَ الرُّكُوعِ الأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ فَسَجَدَ وَانْصَرَفَ، فَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَتَعَوَّذُوا مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated `Amra bint `Abdur-Rahman:A Jewess came to ask `Aisha (the wife of the Prophet) about something. She said to her, "May Allah give you refuge from the punishment of the grave." So `Aisha ' asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) "Would the people be punished in their graves?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) after seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave (and thus replied in the affirmative). Then one day, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) rode to go to some place but the sun eclipsed. He returned in the forenoon and passed through the rear of the dwellings (of his wives) and stood for the (eclipse) prayer, and the people stood behind him. He stood up for a long period and then performed a prolonged bowing which was shorter than the first bowing. Then he raised his head and prostrated. Then he stood up (for the second rak`a) for a long while but the standing was shorter than that of the first rak`a. Then he performed a prolonged bowing which was shorter than the first one. Then he raised his head and prostrated. Then he stood up for a long time but shorter than the first. Then he performed a prolonged bowing but shorter than the first. Then he raised his head and prostrated and finished the prayer and (then delivered the sermon and) said as much as Allah wished. And then he ordered the people to seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَإِذَا النَّاسُ قِيَامٌ يُصَلُّونَ، وَإِذَا هِيَ قَائِمَةٌ تُصَلِّي فَقُلْتُ مَا لِلنَّاسِ فَأَشَارَتْ بِيَدِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، وَقَالَتْ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ‏.‏ فَقُلْتُ آيَةٌ فَأَشَارَتْ أَىْ نَعَمْ‏.‏ قَالَتْ فَقُمْتُ حَتَّى تَجَلاَّنِي الْغَشْىُ، فَجَعَلْتُ أَصُبُّ فَوْقَ رَأْسِي الْمَاءَ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا مِنْ شَىْءٍ كُنْتُ لَمْ أَرَهُ إِلاَّ قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا حَتَّى الْجَنَّةَ وَالنَّارَ، وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّكُمْ تُفْتَنُونَ فِي الْقُبُورِ مِثْلَ ـ أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ ـ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ ـ لاَ أَدْرِي أَيَّتَهُمَا قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ ـ يُؤْتَى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ مَا عِلْمُكَ بِهَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَأَمَّا الْمُؤْمِنُ ـ أَوِ الْمُوقِنُ لاَ أَدْرِي أَىَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ ـ فَيَقُولُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى، فَأَجَبْنَا وَآمَنَّا وَاتَّبَعْنَا‏.‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ نَمْ صَالِحًا، فَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ لَمُوقِنًا‏.‏ وَأَمَّا الْمُنَافِقُ ـ أَوِ الْمُرْتَابُ لاَ أَدْرِي أَيَّتَهُمَا قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ ـ فَيَقُولُ لاَ أَدْرِي، سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ شَيْئًا فَقُلْتُهُ ‏"‏‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated Fatima bint Al-Mundhir:Asma' bint Abu Bakr said, "I came to `Aisha the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) during the solar eclipse. The people were standing and offering the prayer and she was also praying too. I asked her, 'What has happened to the people?' She pointed out with her hand towards the sky and said, 'Subhan-Allah'. I said, 'Is there a sign?' She pointed out in the affirmative." Asma' further said, "I too then stood up for the prayer till I fainted and then poured water on my head. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had finished his prayer, he thanked and praised Allah and said, 'I have seen at this place of mine what I have never seen even Paradise and Hell. No doubt, it has been inspired to me that you will be put to trial in the graves like or nearly like the trial of (Masih) Ad-Dajjal. (I do not know which one of the two Asma' said.) (The angels) will come to everyone of you and will ask what do you know about this man (i.e. Muhammad). The believer or a firm believer (I do not know which word Asma' said) will reply, 'He is Muhammad, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who came to us with clear evidences and guidance, so we accepted his teachings, believed and followed him.' The angels will then say to him, 'Sleep peacefully as we knew surely that you were a firm believer.' The hypocrite or doubtful person (I do not know which word Asma' said) will say, 'I do not know. I heard the people saying something so I said it (the same)

ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف تنیسی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے خبر دی، انہیں ہشام بن عروہ نے، انہیں ان کی بیوی فاطمہ بنت منذر نے، انہیں اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہما نے، انہوں نے کہا کہ جب سورج کو گرہن لگا تو میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بیوی عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے گھر آئی۔ اچانک لوگ کھڑے ہوئے نماز پڑھ رہے تھے اور عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا بھی نماز میں شریک تھی میں نے پوچھا کہ لوگوں کو بات کیا پیش آئی؟ اس پر آپ نے آسمان کی طرف اشارہ کر کے سبحان اللہ کہا۔ پھر میں نے پوچھا کیا کوئی نشانی ہے؟ اس کا آپ نے اشارہ سے ہاں میں جواب دیا۔ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ پھر میں بھی کھڑی ہو گئی۔ لیکن مجھے چکر آ گیا اس لیے میں اپنے سر پر پانی ڈالنے لگی۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو اللہ تعالیٰ کی حمد و ثنا کے بعد فرمایا کہ وہ چیزیں جو کہ میں نے پہلے نہیں دیکھی تھیں اب انہیں میں نے اپنی اسی جگہ سے دیکھ لیا۔ جنت اور دوزخ تک میں نے دیکھی اور مجھے وحی کے ذریعہ بتایا گیا ہے کہ تم قبر میں دجال کے فتنہ کی طرح یا ( یہ کہا کہ ) دجال کے فتنہ کے قریب ایک فتنہ میں مبتلا ہو گے۔ مجھے یاد نہیں کہ اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے کیا کہا تھا آپ نے فرمایا کہ تمہیں لایا جائے گا اور پوچھا جائے گا کہ اس شخص ( مجھ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کے بارے میں تم کیا جانتے ہو۔ مومن یا یہ کہا کہ یقین کرنے والا ( مجھے یاد نہیں کہ ان دو باتوں میں سے اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے کون سی بات کہی تھی ) تو کہے گا یہ محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہیں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمارے سامنے صحیح راستہ اور اس کے دلائل پیش کئے اور ہم آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر ایمان لائے تھے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بات قبول کی اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا اتباع کیا تھا۔ اس پر اس سے کہا جائے گا کہ تو مرد صالح ہے پس آرام سے سو جاؤ ہمیں تو پہلے ہی معلوم تھا کہ تو ایمان و یقین والا ہے۔ منافق یا شک کرنے والا ( مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے کیا کہا تھا ) وہ یہ کہے گا کہ مجھے کچھ معلوم نہیں میں نے لوگوں سے ایک بات سنی تھی وہی میں نے بھی کہی ( آگے مجھ کو کچھ حقیقت معلوم نہیں ) ۔

Translation:

Narrated `Amra bint `Abdur-Rahman:A Jewess came to `Aisha to ask her about something and then she said, "May Allah give you refuge from the punishment of the grave." So `Aisha asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), "Would the people be punished in their graves?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked Allah's refuge from the punishment of the grave (indicating an affirmative reply). Then one day Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) rode (to leave for some place) but the sun eclipsed. He returned on the forenoon and passed through the rear of the dwellings (of his wives) and stood up and started offering the (eclipse) prayer and the people stood behind him. He stood for a long period and then performed a long bowing and then stood straight for a long period which was shorter than that of the first standing, then he performed a prolonged bowing which was shorter than the first bowing, then he raised his head and prostrated for a long time and then stood up (for the second rak`a) for a long while, but the standing was shorter than the standing of the first rak`a. Then he performed a prolonged bowing which was shorter than that of the first one. He then stood up for a long time but shorter than the first, then again performed a long bowing which was shorter than the first and then prostrated for a shorter while than that of the first prostration. Then he finished the prayer and delivered the sermon and) said what Allah wished; and ordered the people to seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ اجْعَلُوا فى بُيُوتِكُمْ مِنْ صَلاَتِكُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّخِذُوهَا قُبُورًا ‏"‏‏.‏ تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated Ibn `Umar:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Offer some of your prayers in your houses and do not make them graves

ہم سے عبدالاعلی بن حماد نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے وہیب بن خالد نے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب سختیانی اور عبیداللہ بن عمر نے، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اپنے گھروں میں بھی کچھ نمازیں پڑھا کرو اور انہیں بالکل قبریں نہ بنا لو ( کہ جہاں نماز ہی نہ پڑھی جاتی ہو ) وہیب کے ساتھ اس حدیث کو عبدالوہاب ثقفی نے بھی ایوب سے روایت کیا ہے۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ مَاتَ إِنْسَانٌ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعُودُهُ فَمَاتَ بِاللَّيْلِ فَدَفَنُوهُ لَيْلاً، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ أَخْبَرُوهُ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ مَا مَنَعَكُمْ أَنْ تُعْلِمُونِي ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالُوا كَانَ اللَّيْلُ فَكَرِهْنَا ـ وَكَانَتْ ظُلْمَةٌ ـ أَنْ نَشُقَّ عَلَيْكَ‏.‏ فَأَتَى قَبْرَهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated Ibn `Abbas.:A person died and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to visit him. He died at night and (the people) buried him at night. In the morning they informed the Prophet (about his death). He said, "What prevented you from informing me?" They replied, "It was night and it was a dark night and so we disliked to trouble you." The Prophet (ﷺ) went to his grave and offered the (funeral) prayer

ہم سے محمد بن سلام بیکندی نے بیان کیا، انہیں ابومعاویہ نے خبر دی، انہیں ابواسحاق شیبانی نے، انہیں شعبی نے، ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ ایک شخص کی وفات ہو گئی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کی عیادت کو جایا کرتے تھے۔ چونکہ ان کا انتقال رات میں ہوا تھا اس لیے رات ہی میں لوگوں نے انہیں دفن کر دیا اور جب صبح ہوئی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو خبر دی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ( کہ جنازہ تیار ہوتے وقت ) مجھے بتانے میں ( کیا ) رکاوٹ تھی؟ لوگوں نے کہا کہ رات تھی اور اندھیرا بھی تھا۔ اس لیے ہم نے مناسب نہیں سمجھا کہ کہیں آپ کو تکلیف ہو۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کی قبر پر تشریف لائے اور نماز پڑھی۔

ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ثابت نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک عورت کے پاس سے گزرے جو ایک قبر پر بیٹھی ہوئی رو رہی تھی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے فرمایا کہ اللہ سے ڈر اور صبر کر۔
