حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْكَاهِلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسِ، رضى الله عنهما‏.‏ ‏{‏وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ‏}‏ قَالَ الشُّعُوبُ الْقَبَائِلُ الْعِظَامُ، وَالْقَبَائِلُ الْبُطُونُ‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:Regarding the Verse: 'And (We) made you into Shu'ub and Qabail-- (49.13) that Shu'ub means the big Qabail (i.e. nations) while the Qabail (i.e. tribes) means the branch tribes

اردو:

ہم سے خالد بن یزید الکاہلی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوبکر بن عیاش نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوحصین (عثمان بن عاصم) نے، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے آیت «وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل‏» کے متعلق فرمایا کہ «شعوب» بڑے قبیلوں کے معنی میں ہے اور «قبائل» سے کسی بڑے قبیلے کی شاخیں مراد ہیں۔
