Narrated Sharik bin `Abdullah bin Abi Namir:I heard Anas bin Malik saying, "On a Friday a person entered the main Mosque through the gate facing the pulpit while Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Khutba. The man stood in front of Allah's Apostle and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off; so please pray to Allah for rain.' " Anas added, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised both his hands and said, 'O Allah! Bless us with rain! O Allah! Bless us with rain! O Allah! Bless us with rain!' " Anas added, "By Allah, we could not see any trace of cloud in the sky and there was no building or a house between us and (the mountains of) Sila." Anas added, "A heavy cloud like a shield appeared from behind it (i.e. Sila' Mountain). When it came in the middle of the sky, it spread and then rained." Anas further said, "By Allah! We could not see the sun for a week. Next Friday a person entered through the same gate and at that time Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Friday's Khutba. The man stood in front of him and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off, please pray to Allah to withhold rain.'" Anas added, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised both his hands and said, 'O Allah! Round about us and not on us. O Allah! On the plateaus, on the mountains, on the hills, in the valleys and on the places where trees grow.' So the rain stopped and we came out walking in the sun." Sharik asked Anas whether it was the same person who had asked for the rain (the last Friday). Anas replied that he did not know
ہم سے محمد بن مرحوم بیکندی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابوضمرہ انس بن عیاض نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے شریک بن عبداللہ بن ابی نمر نے بیان کیا کہ انہوں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا آپ نے ایک شخص ( کعب بن مرہ یا ابوسفیان ) کا ذکر کیا جو منبر کے سامنے والے دروازے سے جمعہ کے دن مسجد نبوی میں آیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، اس نے بھی کھڑے کھڑے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا یا رسول اللہ! ( بارش نہ ہونے سے ) جانور مر گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے آپ اللہ تعالیٰ سے بارش کی دعا فرمائیے انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ کہتے ہی ہاتھ اٹھا دیئے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا کی «اللهم اسقنا، اللهم اسقنا، اللهم اسقنا» کہ اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا بخدا کہیں دور دور تک آسمان پر بادل کا کوئی ٹکڑا نظر نہیں آتا تھا اور نہ کوئی اور چیز ( ہوا وغیرہ جس سے معلوم ہو کہ بارش آئے گی ) اور ہمارے اور سلع پہاڑ کے درمیان کوئی مکان بھی نہ تھا ( کہ ہم بادل ہونے کے باوجود نہ دیکھ سکتے ہوں ) پہاڑ کے پیچھے سے ڈھال کے برابر بادل نمودار ہوا اور بیچ آسمان تک پہنچ کر چاروں طرف پھیل گیا اور بارش شروع ہو گئی، اللہ کی قسم! ہم نے سورج ایک ہفتہ تک نہیں دیکھا۔ پھر ایک شخص دوسرے جمعہ کو اسی دروازے سے آیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، اس شخص نے پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کھڑے کھڑے ہی مخاطب کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ( بارش کی کثرت سے ) مال و منال پر تباہی آ گئی اور راستے بند ہو گئے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئے کہ بارش روک دے۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہاتھ اٹھائے اور دعا کی «اللهم حوالينا ولا علينا، اللهم على الآكام والجبال والآجام والظراب والأودية ومنابت الشجر» کہ یا اللہ اب ہمارے اردگرد بارش برسا ہم سے اسے روک دے۔ ٹیلوں، پہاڑوں، پہاڑیوں، وادیوں اور باغوں کو سیراب کر۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس دعا سے بارش ختم ہو گئی اور ہم نکلے تو دھوپ نکل چکی تھی۔ شریک نے کہا کہ میں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ یہ وہی پہلا شخص تھا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ مجھے معلوم نہیں۔
Narrated Sharik:Anas bin Malik said, "A person entered the Mosque on a Friday through the gate facing the Daril- Qada' and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was standing delivering the Khutba (sermon). The man stood in front of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), livestock are dying and the roads are cut off; please pray to Allah for rain.' So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised both his hands and said, 'O Allah! Bless us with rain. O Allah! Bless us with rain. O Allah! Bless us with rain!" Anas added, "By Allah, there were no clouds in the sky and there was no house or building between us and the mountain of Sila'. Then a big cloud like a shield appeared from behind it (i.e. Sila' Mountain) and when it came in the middle of the sky, it spread and then rained. By Allah! We could not see the sun for a week. The next Friday, a person entered through the same gate and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Friday Khutba and the man stood in front of him and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off; Please pray to Allah to withhold rain.' " Anas added, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised both his hands and said, 'O Allah! Round about us and not on us. O Allah!' On the plateaus, on the mountains, on the hills, in the valleys and on the places where trees grow.' " Anas added, "The rain stopped and we came out, walking in the sun." ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے اسماعیل بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، ان سے شریک نے بیان کیا، ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ ایک شخص جمعہ کے دن مسجد میں داخل ہوا۔ اب جہاں دار القضاء ہے اسی طرف کے دروازے سے وہ آیا تھا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، اس نے بھی کھڑے کھڑے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو مخاطب کیا کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! جانور مر گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئے کہ ہم پر پانی برسائے۔ چنانچہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھا کر دعا فرمائی «اللهم أغثنا، اللهم أغثنا، اللهم أغثنا» اے اللہ! ہم پر پانی برسا۔ اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا اللہ کی قسم! آسمان پر بادل کا کہیں نشان بھی نہ تھا اور ہمارے اور سلع پہاڑ کے بیچ میں مکانات بھی نہیں تھے، اتنے میں پہاڑ کے پیچھے سے بادل نمودار ہوا ڈھال کی طرح اور آسمان کے بیچ میں پہنچ کر چاروں طرف پھیل گیا اور برسنے لگا۔ اللہ کی قسم! ہم نے ایک ہفتہ تک سورج نہیں دیکھا۔ پھر دوسرے جمعہ کو ایک شخص اسی دروازے سے داخل ہوا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، اس لیے اس نے کھڑے کھڑے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ( کثرت بارش سے ) جانور تباہ ہو گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئے کہ بارش بند ہو جائے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھا کر دعا کی «اللهم حوالينا ولا علينا، اللهم على الآكام والظراب وبطون الأودية ومنابت الشجر» اے اللہ! ہمارے اطراف میں بارش برسا ( جہاں ضرورت ہے ) ہم پر نہ برسا۔ اے اللہ! ٹیلوں پہاڑیوں وادیوں اور باغوں کو سیراب کر۔ چنانچہ بارش کا سلسلہ بند ہو گیا اور ہم باہر آئے تو دھوپ نکل چکی تھی۔ شریک نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے دریافت کیا کہ کیا یہ پہلا ہی شخص تھا؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا مجھے معلوم نہیں۔
Narrated Qatada:Anas said, "While Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Friday Khutba (sermon) a man came and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Rain is scarce; please ask Allah to bless us with rain.' So he invoked Allah for it, and it rained so much that we could hardly reach our homes and it continued raining till the next Friday." Anas further said, "Then the same or some other person stood up and said, 'O Allah's Apostle! Invoke Allah to withhold the rain.' On that, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'O Allah! Round about us and not on us.'" Anas added, "I saw the clouds dispersing right and left and it continued to rain but not over Medina
ہم سے مسدد بن مسرہد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابوعوانہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جمعہ کے دن خطبہ دے رہے تھے کہ ایک شخص آیا اور عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! پانی کا قحط پڑ گیا ہے، اللہ سے دعا کیجئے کہ ہمیں سیراب کر دے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا کی اور بارش اس طرح شروع ہوئی کہ گھروں تک پہنچنا مشکل ہو گیا، دوسرے جمعہ تک برابر بارش ہوتی رہی۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ پھر ( دوسرے جمعہ میں ) وہی شخص یا کوئی اور کھڑا ہوا اور عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! دعا کیجئے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ بارش کا رخ کسی اور طرف موڑ دے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا فرمائی کہ «اللهم حوالينا ولا علينا» اے اللہ ہمارے اردگرد بارش برسا ہم پر نہ برسا۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے دیکھا کہ بادل ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو کر دائیں بائیں طرف چلے گئے پھر وہاں بارش شروع ہو گئی اور مدینہ میں اس کا سلسلہ بند ہوا۔
Narrated Anas:A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "Livestock are destroyed and the roads are cut off." So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) invoked Allah for rain and it rained from that Friday till the next Friday. The same person came again and said, "Houses have collapsed, roads are cut off, and the livestock are destroyed. Please pray to Allah to withhold the rain." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (stood up and) said, "O Allah! (Let it rain) on the plateaus, on the hills, in the valleys and over the places where trees grow." So the clouds cleared away from Medina as clothes are taken off
ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ قعنبی نے بیان کیا، ان سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے شریک بن عبداللہ بن ابی نمر نے، ان کو انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بتلایا کہ ایک آدمی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا کہ جانور ہلاک ہو گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا کی اور ایک ہفتہ تک بارش ہوتی رہی پھر ایک شخص آیا اور عرض کیا کہ ( بارش کی کثرت سے ) گھر گر گئے راستے بند ہو گئے۔ چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پھر کھڑے ہو کر دعا کی «اللهم على الآكام والظراب والأودية ومنابت الشجر» کہ اے اللہ! بارش ٹیلوں، پہاڑوں، وادیوں اور باغوں میں برسا ( دعا کے نتیجہ میں ) بادل مدینہ سے اس طرح پھٹ گئے جیسے کپڑا پھٹ کر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو جاتا ہے۔
Narrated Anas:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Khutba (sermon) on a Friday when the people stood up, shouted and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! There is no rain (drought), the trees have dried and the livestock are destroyed; Please pray to Allah for rain." So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said twice, "O Allah! Bless us with rain." By Allah, there was no trace of cloud in the sky and suddenly the sky became overcast with clouds and it started raining. The Prophet (ﷺ) came down the pulpit and offered the prayer. When he came back from the prayer (to his house) it was raining and it rained continuously till the next Friday. When the Prophet started delivering the Friday Khutba (sermon), the people started shouting and said to him, "The houses have collapsed and the roads are cut off; so please pray to Allah to withhold the rain." So the Prophet (ﷺ) smiled and said, "O Allah! Round about us and not on us." So the sky became clear over Medina but it kept on raining over the outskirts (of Medina) and not a single drop of rain fell over Medina. I looked towards the sky which was as bright and clear as a crown
مجھ سے محمد بن ابی بکر نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے معتمر بن سلیمان نے عبیداللہ عمری سے بیان کیا، ان سے ثابت نے، ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جمعہ کے دن خطبہ دے رہے تھے کہ اتنے میں لوگوں نے کھڑے ہو کر غل مچایا، کہنے لگے کہ یا رسول اللہ! بارش کے نام بوند بھی نہیں درخت سرخ ہو چکے ( یعنی تمام پتے خشک ہو گئے ) اور جانور تباہ ہو رہے ہیں، آپ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئے کہ ہمیں سیراب کرے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا کی «اللهم اسقنا» اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ دو مرتبہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس طرح کہا، قسم اللہ کی اس وقت آسمان پر بادل کہیں دور دور نظر نہیں آتا تھا لیکن دعا کے بعد اچانک ایک بادل آیا اور بارش شروع ہو گئی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم منبر سے اتر ے اور نماز پڑھائی۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو بارش ہو رہی تھی اور دوسرے جمعہ تک بارش برابر ہوتی رہی پھر جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دوسرے جمعہ میں خطبہ کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے تو لوگوں نے بتایا کہ مکانات منہدم ہو گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے، اللہ سے دعا کیجئے کہ بارش بند کر دے۔ اس پر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسکرائے اور دعا کی «االلهم حوالينا ولا علينا» اے اللہ! ہمارے اطراف میں اب بارش برسا، مدینہ میں اس کا سلسلہ بند کر۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی دعا سے مدینہ سے بادل چھٹ گئے اور بارش ہمارے ارد گرد ہونے لگی۔ اس شان سے کہ اب مدینہ میں ایک بوند بھی نہ پڑتی تھی میں نے مدینہ کو دیکھا ابر تاج کی طرح گردا گرد تھا اور مدینہ اس کے بیچ میں۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) died and Abu Bakr became the caliph some Arabs renegade (reverted to disbelief) (Abu Bakr decided to declare war against them), `Umar, said to Abu Bakr, "How can you fight with these people although Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, 'I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight the people till they say: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and whoever said it then he will save his life and property from me except on trespassing the law (rights and conditions for which he will be punished justly), and his accounts will be with Allah.' " Abu Bakr said, "By Allah! I will fight those who differentiate between the prayer and the Zakat as Zakat is the compulsory right to be taken from the property (according to Allah's orders) By Allah! If they refuse to pay me even a she-kid which they used to pay at the time of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) . I would fight with them for withholding it" Then `Umar said, "By Allah, it was nothing, but Allah opened Abu Bakr's chest towards the decision (to fight) and I came to know that his decision was right
ہم سے ابوالیمان حکم بن نافع نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہمیں شعیب بن ابی حمزہ نے خبر دی ‘ ان سے زہری نے کہا کہ ہم سے عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ بن مسعود نے بیان کیا کہ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فوت ہو گئے اور ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ خلیفہ ہوئے تو عرب کے کچھ قبائل کافر ہو گئے ( اور کچھ نے زکوٰۃ سے انکار کر دیا اور ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے لڑنا چاہا ) تو عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ آپ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اس فرمان کی موجودگی میں کیونکر جنگ کر سکتے ہیں ”مجھے حکم ہے لوگوں سے اس وقت تک جنگ کروں جب تک کہ وہ «لا إله إلا الله» کی شہادت نہ دیدیں اور جو شخص اس کی شہادت دیدے تو میری طرف سے اس کا مال و جان محفوظ ہو جائے گا۔ سوا اسی کے حق کے ( یعنی قصاص وغیرہ کی صورتوں کے ) اور اس کا حساب اللہ تعالیٰ کے ذمہ ہو گا۔

Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever is made wealthy by Allah and does not pay the Zakat of his wealth, then on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be made like a baldheaded poisonous male snake with two black spots over the eyes. The snake will encircle his neck and bite his cheeks and say, 'I am your wealth, I am your treasure.' " Then the Prophet (ﷺ) recited the holy verses:-- 'Let not those who withhold . . .' (to the end of the verse)
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ہاشم بن قاسم نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن بن عبداللہ بن دینار نے اپنے والد سے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ابوصالح سمان نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جسے اللہ نے مال دیا اور اس نے اس کی زکوٰۃ نہیں ادا کی تو قیامت کے دن اس کا مال نہایت زہریلے گنجے سانپ کی شکل اختیار کر لے گا۔ اس کی آنکھوں کے پاس دو سیاہ نقطے ہوں گے۔ جیسے سانپ کے ہوتے ہیں ‘ پھر وہ سانپ اس کے دونوں جبڑوں سے اسے پکڑ لے گا اور کہے گا کہ میں تیرا مال اور خزانہ ہوں۔ اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ آیت پڑھی ”اور وہ لوگ یہ گمان نہ کریں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے انہیں جو کچھ اپنے فضل سے دیا ہے وہ اس پر بخل سے کام لیتے ہیں کہ ان کا مال ان کے لیے بہتر ہے۔ بلکہ وہ برا ہے جس مال کے معاملہ میں انہوں نے بخل کیا ہے۔ قیامت میں اس کا طوق بنا کر ان کی گردن میں ڈالا جائے گا۔“
Narrated Abu Huraira:A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Which charity is the most superior in reward?" He replied, "The charity which you practice while you are healthy, niggardly and afraid of poverty and wish to become wealthy. Do not delay it to the time of approaching death and then say, 'Give so much to such and such, and so much to such and such.' And it has already belonged to such and such (as it is too late)
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے عبدالواحد بن زیاد نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے عمارہ بن قعقاع نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے ابوزرعہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ایک شخص نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! کس طرح کے صدقہ میں سب سے زیادہ ثواب ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اس صدقہ میں جسے تم صحت کے ساتھ بخل کے باوجود کرو۔ تمہیں ایک طرف تو فقیری کا ڈر ہو اور دوسری طرف مالدار بننے کی تمنا اور امید ہو اور ( اس صدقہ خیرات میں ) ڈھیل نہ ہونی چاہیے کہ جب جان حلق تک آ جائے تو اس وقت تو کہنے لگے کہ فلاں کے لیے اتنا اور فلاں کے لیے اتنا حالانکہ وہ تو اب فلاں کا ہو چکا۔
Narrated Asma:The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me, "Do not withhold your money, (for if you did so) Allah would withhold His blessings from you." Narrated `Abda: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not withhold your money by counting it (i.e. hoarding it), (for if you did so), Allah would also withhold His blessings from you
ہم سے صدقہ بن فضل نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہمیں عبدہ نے ہشام سے خبر دی ’ انہیں ان کی بیوی فاطمہ بنت منذر نے اور ان سے اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ مجھ سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ خیرات کو مت روک ورنہ تیرا رزق بھی روک دیا جائے گا۔
