Narrated Abu Wail:`Abdullah (bin Mas`ud) said, "Whoever takes a (false) oath in order to grab some property (unjustly), Allah will be angry with him when he will meet Him. Allah confirmed that through His Divine Revelation: "Verily! Those who purchase a little gain at the cost of Allah's covenant and their oaths . . . they will have a painful punishment." (3.77) Al-Ash'ath bin Qais came to us and asked, 'What is Abu `Abdur-Rahman (i.e. `Abdullah) telling you? 'We told him what he was narrating to us. He said, 'He was telling the truth; this Divine Verse was revealed in connection with me. There was a dispute between me and another man about something and the case was filed before Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who said, 'Produce your two witnesses or else the defendant is to take an oath.' I said, The defendant will surely take a (false) oath caring for nothing.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Whoever takes a false oath in order to grab (other's) property, then Allah will be angry with him when he will meet Him.' Then Allah revealed its confirmation. Al-Ashath then recited the above Divine Verse
ہم سے عثمان بن ابی شیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جریر نے بیان کیا منصور سے، ان سے ابووائل نے بیان کیا کہ عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ جو شخص ( جھوٹی ) قسم کسی کا مال حاصل کرنے کے لیے کھائے گا تو اللہ تعالیٰ سے وہ اس حال میں ملے گا کہ اللہ پاک اس پر غضبناک ہو گا۔ اس کے بعد اللہ تعالیٰ نے ( اس حدیث کی ) تصدیق کے لیے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی «إن الذين يشترون بعهد الله وأيمانهم» ”جو لوگ اللہ کے عہد اور اپنی قسموں سے تھوڑی پونجی خریدتے ہیں۔ «عذاب أليم» “ تک۔ پھر اشعث بن قیس رضی اللہ عنہ ہماری طرف تشریف لائے اور پوچھنے لگے کہ ابوعبدالرحمٰن ( عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ ) تم سے کون سی حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے۔ ہم نے ان کی یہی حدیث بیان کی تو انہوں نے کہا کہ انہوں نے صحیح بیان کی، یہ آیت میرے ہی بارے میں نازل ہوئی تھی۔ میرا ایک شخص سے جھگڑا تھا۔ ہم اپنا مقدمہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لے گئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ یا تم دو گواہ لاؤ، ورنہ اس کی قسم پر فیصلہ ہو گا۔ میں نے کہا کہ ( گواہ میرے پاس نہیں ہیں لیکن اگر فیصلہ اس کی قسم پر ہوا ) پھر تو یہ ضرور ہی قسم کھا لے گا اور کوئی پروانہ کرے گا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ سن کر فرمایا ”جو شخص بھی کسی کا مال لینے کے لیے ( جھوٹی ) قسم کھائے تو اللہ تعالیٰ سے وہ اس حال میں ملے گا کہ وہ اس پر غضبناک ہو گا۔“ اس کی تصدیق میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے مذکورہ بالا آیت نازل فرمائی تھی، پھر انہوں نے یہی آیت تلاوت کی۔

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:Hilal bin Umaiya accused his wife before the Prophet (ﷺ) of committing illegal sexual intercourse with Sharik bin Sahma.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Produce a proof, or else you would get the legal punishment (by being lashed) on your back." Hilal said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! If anyone of us saw another man over his wife, would he go to search for a proof." The Prophet (ﷺ) went on saying, "Produce a proof or else you would get the legal punishment (by being lashed) on your back." The Prophet (ﷺ) then mentioned the narration of Lian (as in the Holy Book). (Surat-al-Nur:)
ہم سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابن ابی عدی نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشام نے، ان سے عکرمہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ ہلال بن امیہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے اپنی بیوی پر شریک بن سمحاء کے ساتھ تہمت لگائی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اس پر گواہ لا ورنہ تمہاری پیٹھ پر حد لگائی جائے گی۔“ انہوں نے کہا یا رسول اللہ! کیا ہم میں سے کوئی شخص اگر اپنی عورت پر کسی دوسرے کو دیکھے گا تو گواہ ڈھونڈنے دوڑے گا؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم برابر یہی فرماتے رہے ”گواہ لا ورنہ تمہاری پیٹھ پر حد لگائی جائے گی۔“ پھر لعان کی حدیث کا ذکر کیا۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There are three persons whom Allah will neither talk to nor look at, nor purify from (the sins), and they will have a painful punishment. (They are): (1) A man who possessed superfluous water on a way and he withheld it from the travelers. (2) a man who gives a pledge of allegiance to a Muslim ruler and gives it only for worldly gains. If the ruler gives him what he wants, he remains obedient to It, otherwise he does not abide by it, and (3) a man bargains with another man after the `Asr prayer and the latter takes a false oath in the Name of Allah claiming that he has been offered so much for the thing and the former (believes him and) buys it
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جریر بن عبدالحمید نے بیان کیا اعمش سے، ان سے ابوصالح نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”تین طرح کے لوگ ایسے ہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان سے بات بھی نہ کرے گا نہ ان کی طرف نظر اٹھا کر دیکھے گا اور نہ انہیں پاک کرے گا بلکہ انہیں سخت درد ناک عذاب ہو گا۔ ایک وہ شخص جو سفر میں ضرورت سے زیادہ پانی لے جا رہا ہے اور کسی مسافر کو ( جسے پانی کی ضرورت ہو ) نہ دے۔ دوسرا وہ شخص جو کسی ( خلیفۃ المسلمین ) سے بیعت کرے اور صرف دنیا کے لیے بیعت کرے کہ جس سے اس نے بیعت کی اگر وہ اس کا مقصد پورا کر دے تو یہ بھی وفاداری سے کام لے، ورنہ اس کے ساتھ بیعت و عہد کے خلاف کرے۔ تیسرا وہ شخص جو کسی سے عصر کے بعد کسی سامان کا بھاؤ کرے اور اللہ کی قسم کھا لے کہ اسے اس کا اتنا اتنا روپیہ مل رہا تھا اور خریدار اس سامان کو ( اس کی قسم کی وجہ سے ) لے لے۔ حالانکہ وہ جھوٹا ہے۔“
Narrated `Abdullah bin Abu `Aufa:A man displayed some goods in the market and took a false oath that he had been offered so much for them though he was not offered that amount Then the following Divine Verse was revealed:-- "Verily! Those who purchase a little gain at the cost of Allah's covenant and their oaths . . . Will get painful punishment." (3.77) Ibn Abu `Aufa added, "Such person as described above is a treacherous Riba eater (i.e. eater of usury)
مجھ سے اسحاق نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم کو یزید بن ہارون نے خبر دی، انہیں عوام نے خبر دی، کہا کہ مجھ سے ابراہیم ابواسماعیل سکسکی نے بیان کیا اور انہوں نے عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ کو یہ کہتے سنا کہ ایک شخص نے اپنا سامان دکھا کر اللہ کی قسم کھائی کہ اسے اس سامان کا اتنا روپیہ مل رہا تھا، حالانکہ اتنا نہیں مل رہا تھا۔ اس پر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی «إن الذين يشترون بعهد الله وأيمانهم ثمنا قليلا» ”جو لوگ اللہ کے عہد اور اپنی قسموں کے ذریعہ تھوڑی قیمت حاصل کرتے ہیں۔“ ابن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ گاہکوں کو پھانسنے کے لیے قیمت بڑھانے والا سود خور کی طرح خائن ہے۔

Narrated Um Salama:Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You people present your cases to me and some of you may be more eloquent and persuasive in presenting their argument. So, if I give some one's right to another (wrongly) because of the latter's (tricky) presentation of the case, I am really giving him a piece of fire; so he should not take it
ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ نے بیان کیا امام مالک سے، ان سے ہشام بن عروہ نے، ان سے ان کے باپ نے، ان سے زینب نے اور ان سے ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”تم لوگ میرے یہاں اپنے مقدمات لاتے ہو اور کبھی ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ ایک تم میں دوسرے سے دلیل بیان کرنے میں بڑھ کر ہوتا ہے ( قوت بیانیہ بڑھ کر رکھتا ہے ) پھر میں اس کو اگر اس کے بھائی کا حق ( غلطی سے ) دلا دوں، تو وہ حلال ( نہ سمجھے ) اس کو نہ لے، میں اس کو دوزخ کا ایک ٹکڑا دلا رہا ہوں۔“
Narrated Abu Huraira:When Allah revealed the Verse: "Warn your nearest kinsmen," Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) got up and said, "O people of Quraish (or said similar words)! Buy (i.e. save) yourselves (from the Hellfire) as I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment; O Bani `Abd Manaf! I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment, O Safiya, the Aunt of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment; O Fatima bint Muhammad! Ask me anything from my wealth, but I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی ‘ انہوں نے زہری سے ‘ کہا مجھ کو سعید بن مسیب اور ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن نے خبر دی کہ ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا جب ( سورۃ الشعراء کی ) یہ آیت اللہ تعالیٰ نے اتاری «وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين» اور اپنے نزدیک ناطے والوں کو اللہ کے عذاب سے ڈرا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا قریش کے لوگو! یا ایسا ہی کوئی اور کلمہ تم لوگ اپنی اپنی جانوں کو ( نیک اعمال کے بدل ) مول لے لو ( بچا لو ) میں اللہ کے سامنے تمہارے کچھ کام نہیں آؤں گا ( یعنی اس کی مرضی کے خلاف میں کچھ نہیں کر سکوں گا ) عبد مناف کے بیٹو! میں اللہ کے سامنے تمہارے کچھ کام نہیں آؤں گا۔ عباس عبدالمطلب کے بیٹے! میں اللہ کے سامنے تمہارے کچھ کام نہیں آؤں گا۔ صفیہ میری پھوپھی! اللہ کے سامنے تمہارے کچھ کام نہیں آؤں گا۔ فاطمہ! بیٹی تو چاہے میرا مال مانگ لے لیکن اللہ کے سامنے تیرے کچھ کام نہیں آؤں گا۔ ابوالیمان کے ساتھ حدیث کو اصبغ نے بھی عبداللہ بن وہب سے ‘ انہوں نے یونس سے ‘ انہوں نے ابن شہاب سے روایت کیا۔
Narrated Abu `Abs:(who is `Abdur-Rahman bin Jabir) Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said," Anyone whose both feet get covered with dust in Allah's Cause will not be touched by the (Hell) fire
ہم سے اسحاق بن منصور نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم کو محمد بن مبارک نے خبر دی ‘ کہا ہم سے یحییٰ بن حمزہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ مجھ سے یزید بن ابی مریم نے بیان کیا ‘ انہیں عبایہ بن رافع بن خدیج نے خبر دی ‘ کہا کہ مجھے ابوعبس رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی ‘ آپ کا نام عبدالرحمٰن بن جبیر ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جس بندے کے بھی قدم اللہ کے راستے میں غبار آلود ہو گئے ‘ انہیں ( جہنم کی ) آگ چھوئے؟ ( یہ نا ممکن ہے ) ۔“
