حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَعْقِلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ ‏"‏‏.‏
Translation:

Narrated `Adi bin Hatim heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying:"Save yourself from Hell-fire even by giving half a date-fruit in charity

اردو:

ہم سے سلیمان بن حرب نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابواسحاق عمرو بن عبداللہ سبیعی نے کہا کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن معقل سے سنا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ کہتے سنا کہ جہنم سے بچو اگرچہ کھجور کا ایک ٹکڑا دے کر ہی سہی ( مگر ضرور صدقہ کر کے دوزخ کی آگ سے بچنے کی کوشش کرو ) ۔
