Narrated Ka`b bin Malik:Whenever Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) intended to carry out a Ghazwa, he would use an equivocation to conceal his real destination till it was the Ghazwa of Tabuk which Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) carried out in very hot weather. As he was going to face a very long journey through a wasteland and was to meet and attack a large number of enemies. So, he made the situation clear to the Muslims so that they might prepare themselves accordingly and get ready to conquer their enemy. اور مجھ سے احمد بن محمد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو عبداللہ بن مبارک نے خبر دی، انہیں یونس نے خبر دی، ان سے زہری نے بیان کیا، انہیں عبدالرحمٰن بن عبداللہ بن کعب بن مالک نے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے کعب بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا آپ بیان کرتے تھے کہ ایسا کم اتفاق ہوتا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کسی جہاد کا قصد کریں اور وہی مقام بیان فرما کر اس کو نہ چھپائیں۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم غزوہ تبوک کو جانے لگے تو چونکہ یہ غزوہ بڑی سخت گرمی میں ہونا تھا، لمبا سفر تھا اور جنگلوں کو طے کرنا تھا اور مقابلہ بھی بہت بڑی فوج سے تھا، اس لیے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مسلمانوں سے صاف صاف فرما دیا تھا تاکہ دشمن کے مقابلہ کے لیے پوری تیاری کر لیں چنانچہ ( غزوہ کے لیے ) جہاں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو جانا تھا ( یعنی تبوک ) اس کا آپ نے صاف اعلان کر دیا تھا۔
Narrated `Aisha:We set out in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) five days before the end of Dhul Qa'da intending to perform Hajj only. When we approached Mecca Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered those who did not have the Hadi (i.e. an animal for sacrifice) with them, to perform the Tawaf around the Ka`ba, and between Safa and Marwa and then finish their Ihram. Beef was brought to us on the day of Nahr (i.e. the days of slaughtering) and I asked, "What is this?" Somebody said, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has slaughtered (a cow) on behalf of his wives
ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ نے بیان کیا امام مالک سے، ان سے یحییٰ بن سعید نے، ان سے عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمٰن نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ مدینہ سے ( حجۃ الوداع کے لیے ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ہم اس وقت نکلے جب ذی قعدہ کے پانچ دن باقی تھے۔ ہفتہ کے دن ہمارا مقصد حج کے سوا اور کچھ بھی نہ تھا۔ جب ہم مکہ سے قریب ہوئے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حکم فرمایا کہ جس کے ساتھ قربانی کا جانور نہ ہو جب وہ بیت اللہ کے طواف اور صفا اور مروہ کی سعی سے فارغ ہو جائے تو احرام کھول دے۔ ( پھر حج کے لیے بعد میں احرام باندھے ) عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ دسویں ذی الحجہ کو ہمارے یہاں گائے کا گوشت آیا، میں نے پوچھا کہ گوشت کیسا ہے؟ تو بتایا گیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی بیویوں کی طرف سے جو گائے قربانی کی ہے یہ اسی کا گوشت ہے۔ یحییٰ نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے اس کے بعد اس حدیث کا ذکر قاسم بن محمد سے کیا تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ قسم اللہ کی! عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمٰن نے تم سے یہ حدیث ٹھیک ٹھیک بیان کی ہے۔
Narrated Ibn `Umar:When we reached (Hudaibiya) in the next year (of the treaty of Hudaibiya), not even two men amongst us agreed unanimously as to which was the tree under which we had given the pledge of allegiance, and that was out of Allah's Mercy. (The sub narrator asked Naf'i, "For what did the Prophet (ﷺ) take their pledge of allegiance, was it for death?" Naf'i replied "No, but he took their pledge of allegiance for patience
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جویریہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ ( صلح حدیبیہ کے بعد ) جب ہم دوسرے سال پھر آئے، تو ہم میں سے ( جنہوں نے صلح حدیبیہ کے موقع پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی تھی ) دو شخص بھی اس درخت کی نشان دہی پر متفق نہیں ہو سکے۔ جس کے نیچے ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی تھی اور یہ صرف اللہ کی رحمت تھی۔ جویریہ نے کہا، میں نے نافع سے پوچھا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے صحابہ سے کس بات پر بیعت کی تھی، کیا موت پر لی تھی؟ فرمایا کہ نہیں، بلکہ صبر و استقامت پر بیعت لی تھی۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin Zaid:that in the time (of the battle) of Al-Harra a person came to him and said, "Ibn Hanzala is taking the pledge of allegiance from the people for death." He said, "I will never give a pledge of allegiance for such a thing to anyone after Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے وہب نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عمرو بن یحییٰ نے، ان سے عباد بن تمیم نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ حرہ کی لڑائی کے زمانہ میں ایک صاحب ان کے پاس آئے اور کہا کہ عبداللہ بن حنظلہ لوگوں سے ( یزید کے خلاف ) موت پر بیعت لے رہے ہیں۔ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بعد اب میں موت پر کسی سے بیعت نہیں کروں گا۔
Narrated Yazid bin Ubaid:Salama said, "I gave the Pledge of allegiance (Al-Ridwan) to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and then I moved to the shade of a tree. When the number of people around the Prophet (ﷺ) diminished, he said, 'O Ibn Al-Akwa` ! Will you not give to me the pledge of Allegiance?' I replied, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I have already given to you the pledge of Allegiance.' He said, 'Do it again.' So I gave the pledge of allegiance for the second time." I asked 'O Abu Muslim! For what did you give he pledge of Allegiance on that day?" He replied, "We gave the pledge of Allegiance for death
ہم سے مکی بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے یزید بن ابی عبید نے بیان کیا، اور ان سے سلمہ بن الاکوع نے بیان کیا ( حدیبیہ کے موقع پر ) میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیعت کی۔ پھر ایک درخت کے سائے میں آ کر کھڑا ہو گیا۔ جب لوگوں کا ہجوم کم ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دریافت کیا، ابن الاکوع کیا بیعت نہیں کرو گے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے عرض کیا، یا رسول اللہ! میں تو بیعت کر چکا ہوں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، دوبارہ اور بھی! چنانچہ میں نے دوبارہ بیعت کی ( یزید بن ابی عبیداللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ) میں نے سلمہ بن الاکوع رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا، ابومسلم اس دن آپ حضرات نے کس بات پر بیعت کی تھی؟ کہا کہ موت پر۔
Narrated Salim Abu An-Nadr:The freed slave of `Umar bin 'Ubaidullah who was `Umar's clerk: `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa wrote him (i.e. `Umar) a letter that contained the following:-- "Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (during a holy battle), waited till the sun had declined and then he got up among the people and said, "O people! Do not wish to face the enemy (in a battle) and ask Allah to save you (from calamities) but if you should face the enemy, then be patient and let it be known to you that Paradise is under the shades of swords." He then said,, "O Allah! The Revealer of the (Holy) Book, the Mover of the clouds, and Defeater of Al-Ahzab (i.e. the clans of infidels), defeat them infidels and bestow victory upon us

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:Abu Sufyan said, "Heraclius sent for me when I was in 'Ilya' (i.e. Jerusalem). Then he asked for the letter of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and when he had finished its reading there was a great hue and cry around him and the voices grew louder and we were asked to quit the place. When we were turned out, I said to my companions, 'The cause of Ibn Abi Kabsha has become conspicuous as the King of Bani Al- Asfar is afraid of him
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی، ان سے زہری نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ نے، انہیں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے خبر دی اور انہیں ابوسفیان رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی کہ ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا نامہ مبارک جب شاہ روم ہرقل کو ملا تو ) اس نے اپنا آدمی انہیں تلاش کرنے کے لیے بھیجا۔ یہ لوگ اس وقت ایلیاء میں ٹھہرے ہوئے تھے۔ آخر ( طویل گفتگو کے بعد ) اس نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا نامہ مبارک منگوایا۔ جب وہ پڑھا جا چکا تو اس کے دربار میں ہنگامہ برپا ہو گیا ( چاروں طرف سے ) آواز بلند ہونے لگی۔ اور ہمیں باہر نکال دیا گیا۔ جب ہم باہر کر دئیے گئے تو میں نے اپنے ساتھیوں سے کہا کہ ابن ابی کبشہ ( مراد رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ہے ) کا معاملہ تو اب بہت آگے بڑھ چکا ہے۔ یہ ملک بنی اصفر ( قیصر روم ) بھی ان سے ڈرنے لگا ہے۔
Narrated Asma:I prepared the journey-food for Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in Abu Bakr's house when he intended to emigrate to Medina. I could not find anything to tie the food-container and the water skin with. So, I said to Abu Bakr, "By Allah, I do not find anything to tie (these things) with except my waist belt." He said, "Cut it into two pieces and tie the water-skin with one piece and the food-container with the other (The subnarrator added, "She did accordingly and that was the reason for calling her Dhatun-Nitaqain (i.e. two-belted woman)
ہم سے عبید بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشام نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے میرے والد نے خبر دی، نیز مجھ سے فاطمہ نے بھی بیان کیا، اور ان سے اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مدینہ کی ہجرت کا ارادہ کیا تو میں نے ( والد ماجد سیدنا ) ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے گھر آپ کے لیے سفر کا ناشتہ تیار کیا تھا۔ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ جب آپ کے ناشتے اور پانی کو باندھنے کے لیے کوئی چیز نہیں ملی، تو میں نے ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کہ بجز میرے کمر بند کے اور کوئی چیز اسے باندھنے کے لیے نہیں ہے۔ تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ پھر اسی کے دو ٹکڑے کر لو۔ ایک سے ناشتہ باندھ دینا اور دوسرے سے پانی، چنانچہ اس نے ایسا ہی کیا، اور اسی وجہ سے میرا نام ”ذات النطاقین“ ( دو کمر بندوں والی ) پڑ گیا۔
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:During the life-time of the Prophet (ﷺ) we used to take the meat of sacrificed animals (as journey food) to Medina. (See Hadith No. 474 Vol)
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم کو سفیان نے خبر دی، ان سے عمرو نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ کو عطاء نے خبر دی، انہوں نے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا آپ نے بیان کیا کہ ہم لوگ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں قربانی کا گوشت بطور توشہ مدینہ لے جایا کرتے تھے ( یہ لے جانا بطور توشہ ہوا کرتا تھا، اس سے آپ کا مطلب ثابت ہوا ) ۔
