بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ نٓ ۚ وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ ﴿1﴾ مَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍۢ ﴿2﴾ وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍۢ ﴿3﴾ وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍۢ ﴿4﴾ فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ ﴿5﴾ بِأَييِّكُمُ ٱلْمَفْتُونُ ﴿6﴾ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ ﴿7﴾ فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿8﴾ وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ ﴿9﴾ وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍۢ مَّهِينٍ ﴿10﴾ هَمَّازٍۢ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍۢ ﴿11﴾ مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿12﴾ عُتُلٍّۭ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ ﴿13﴾ أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍۢ وَبَنِينَ ﴿14﴾ إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿15﴾ سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ ﴿16﴾ إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ ﴿17﴾ وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ ﴿18﴾ فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ ﴿19﴾ فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَٱلصَّرِيمِ ﴿20﴾ فَتَنَادَوْا۟ مُصْبِحِينَ ﴿21﴾ أَنِ ٱغْدُوا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰرِمِينَ ﴿22﴾ فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ ﴿23﴾ أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُم مِّسْكِينٌۭ ﴿24﴾ وَغَدَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْدٍۢ قَٰدِرِينَ ﴿25﴾ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ ﴿26﴾ بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ ﴿27﴾ قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ ﴿28﴾ قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ﴿29﴾ فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ ﴿30﴾ قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَٰغِينَ ﴿31﴾ عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٰغِبُونَ ﴿32﴾ كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿33﴾ إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ﴿34﴾ أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ﴿35﴾ مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ ﴿36﴾ أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَٰبٌۭ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ ﴿37﴾ إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ ﴿38﴾ أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَٰنٌ عَلَيْنَا بَٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ ﴿39﴾ سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُم بِذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ ﴿40﴾ أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ ﴿41﴾ يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍۢ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ﴿42﴾ خَٰشِعَةً أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۭ ۖ وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَٰلِمُونَ ﴿43﴾ فَذَرْنِى وَمَن يُكَذِّبُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿44﴾ وَأُمْلِى لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِى مَتِينٌ ﴿45﴾ أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًۭا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍۢ مُّثْقَلُونَ ﴿46﴾ أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ ﴿47﴾ فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌۭ ﴿48﴾ لَّوْلَآ أَن تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ نِعْمَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌۭ ﴿49﴾ فَٱجْتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ﴿50﴾ وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ ﴿51﴾ وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿52﴾

Meccan Revealed In

Overview

Surah Al-Qalam is a Meccan Surah containing 52 verses. It is located in Juz 29.

1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ نٓ ۚ وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ

Urdu Translation

نٓ۔ قلم کی اور جو (اہل قلم) لکھتے ہیں اس کی قسم

English Translation

Nun. By the pen and what they inscribe,

2
مَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍۢ

Urdu Translation

کہ (اے محمدﷺ) تم اپنے پروردگار کے فضل سے دیوانے نہیں ہو

English Translation

You are not, [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman.

3
وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍۢ

Urdu Translation

اور تمہارے لئے بے انتہا اجر ہے

English Translation

And indeed, for you is a reward uninterrupted.

4
وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

Urdu Translation

اور اخلاق تمہارے بہت (عالی) ہیں

English Translation

And indeed, you are of a great moral character.

5
فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ

Urdu Translation

سو عنقریب تم بھی دیکھ لو گے اور یہ (کافر) بھی دیکھ لیں گے

English Translation

So you will see and they will see

6
بِأَييِّكُمُ ٱلْمَفْتُونُ

Urdu Translation

کہ تم میں سے کون دیوانہ ہے

English Translation

Which of you is the afflicted [by a devil].

7
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ

Urdu Translation

تمہارا پروردگار اس کو بھی خوب جانتا ہے جو اس کے رستے سے بھٹک گیا اور ان کو بھی خوب جانتا ہے جو سیدھے راستے پر چل رہے ہیں

English Translation

Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has gone astray from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.

8
فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

Urdu Translation

تو تم جھٹلانے والوں کا کہا نہ ماننا

English Translation

Then do not obey the deniers.

9
وَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ

Urdu Translation

یہ لوگ چاہتے ہیں کہ تم نرمی اختیار کرو تو یہ بھی نرم ہوجائیں

English Translation

They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].

10
وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍۢ مَّهِينٍ

Urdu Translation

اور کسی ایسے شخص کے کہے میں نہ آجانا جو بہت قسمیں کھانے والا ذلیل اوقات ہے

English Translation

And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer

11
هَمَّازٍۢ مَّشَّآءٍۭ بِنَمِيمٍۢ

Urdu Translation

طعن آمیز اشارتیں کرنے والا چغلیاں لئے پھرنے والا

English Translation

[And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -

12
مَّنَّاعٍۢ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ

Urdu Translation

مال میں بخل کرنے والا حد سے بڑھا ہوا بدکار

English Translation

A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful,

13
عُتُلٍّۭ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ

Urdu Translation

سخت خو اور اس کے علاوہ بدذات ہے

English Translation

Cruel, moreover, and an illegitimate pretender.

14
أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍۢ وَبَنِينَ

Urdu Translation

اس سبب سے کہ مال اور بیٹے رکھتا ہے

English Translation

Because he is a possessor of wealth and children,

15
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

Urdu Translation

جب اس کو ہماری آیتیں پڑھ کر سنائی جاتی ہیں تو کہتا ہے کہ یہ اگلے لوگوں کے افسانے ہیں

English Translation

When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."

16
سَنَسِمُهُۥ عَلَى ٱلْخُرْطُومِ

Urdu Translation

ہم عنقریب اس کی ناک پر داغ لگائیں گے

English Translation

We will brand him upon the snout.

17
إِنَّا بَلَوْنَٰهُمْ كَمَا بَلَوْنَآ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ إِذْ أَقْسَمُوا۟ لَيَصْرِمُنَّهَا مُصْبِحِينَ

Urdu Translation

ہم نے ان لوگوں کی اسی طرح آزمائش کی ہے جس طرح باغ والوں کی آزمائش کی تھی۔ جب انہوں نے قسمیں کھا کھا کر کہا کہ صبح ہوتے ہوتے ہم اس کا میوہ توڑ لیں گے

English Translation

Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning

18
وَلَا يَسْتَثْنُونَ

Urdu Translation

اور انشاء الله نہ کہا

English Translation

Without making exception.

19
فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَآئِفٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَآئِمُونَ

Urdu Translation

سو وہ ابھی سو ہی رہے تھے کہ تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے (راتوں رات) اس پر ایک آفت پھر گئی

English Translation

So there came upon the garden an affliction from your Lord while they were asleep.

20
فَأَصْبَحَتْ كَٱلصَّرِيمِ

Urdu Translation

تو وہ ایسا ہوگیا جیسے کٹی ہوئی کھیتی

English Translation

And it became as though reaped.

21
فَتَنَادَوْا۟ مُصْبِحِينَ

Urdu Translation

جب صبح ہوئی تو وہ لوگ ایک دوسرے کو پکارنے لگے

English Translation

And they called one another at morning,

22
أَنِ ٱغْدُوا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْثِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰرِمِينَ

Urdu Translation

اگر تم کو کاٹنا ہے تو اپنی کھیتی پر سویرے ہی جا پہنچو

English Translation

[Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit."

23
فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَتَخَٰفَتُونَ

Urdu Translation

تو وہ چل پڑے اور آپس میں چپکے چپکے کہتے جاتے تھے

English Translation

So they set out, while lowering their voices,

24
أَن لَّا يَدْخُلَنَّهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكُم مِّسْكِينٌۭ

Urdu Translation

آج یہاں تمہارے پاس کوئی فقیر نہ آنے پائے

English Translation

[Saying], "There will surely not enter it today upon you [any] poor person."

25
وَغَدَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ حَرْدٍۢ قَٰدِرِينَ

Urdu Translation

اور کوشش کے ساتھ سویرے ہی جا پہنچے (گویا کھیتی پر) قادر ہیں

English Translation

And they went early in determination, [assuming themselves] able.

26
فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهَا قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لَضَآلُّونَ

Urdu Translation

جب باغ کو دیکھا تو (ویران) کہنے لگے کہ ہم رستہ بھول گئے ہیں

English Translation

But when they saw it, they said, "Indeed, we are lost;

27
بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ

Urdu Translation

نہیں بلکہ ہم (برگشتہ نصیب) بےنصیب ہیں

English Translation

Rather, we have been deprived."

28
قَالَ أَوْسَطُهُمْ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ لَوْلَا تُسَبِّحُونَ

Urdu Translation

ایک جو اُن میں فرزانہ تھا بولا کہ کیا میں نے تم سے نہیں کہا تھا کہ تم تسبیح کیوں نہیں کرتے؟

English Translation

The most moderate of them said, "Did I not say to you, 'Why do you not exalt [Allah]?' "

29
قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

Urdu Translation

(تب) وہ کہنے لگے کہ ہمارا پروردگار پاک ہے بےشک ہم ہی قصوروار تھے

English Translation

They said, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."

30
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَلَٰوَمُونَ

Urdu Translation

پھر لگے ایک دوسرے کو رو در رو ملامت کرنے

English Translation

Then they approached one another, blaming each other.

31
قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا طَٰغِينَ

Urdu Translation

کہنے لگے ہائے شامت ہم ہی حد سے بڑھ گئے تھے

English Translation

They said, "O woe to us; indeed we were transgressors.

32
عَسَىٰ رَبُّنَآ أَن يُبْدِلَنَا خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهَآ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا رَٰغِبُونَ

Urdu Translation

امید ہے کہ ہمارا پروردگار اس کے بدلے میں ہمیں اس سے بہتر باغ عنایت کرے ہم اپنے پروردگار کی طرف سے رجوع لاتے ہیں

English Translation

Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous."

33
كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ

Urdu Translation

(دیکھو) عذاب یوں ہوتا ہے۔ اور آخرت کا عذاب اس سے کہیں بڑھ کر ہے۔ کاش! یہ لوگ جانتے ہوتے

English Translation

Such is the punishment [of this world]. And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

34
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

Urdu Translation

پرہیزگاروں کے لئے ان کے پروردگار کے ہاں نعمت کے باغ ہیں

English Translation

Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure.

35
أَفَنَجْعَلُ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ كَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Urdu Translation

کیا ہم فرمانبرداروں کو نافرمانوں کی طرف (نعمتوں سے) محروم کردیں گے؟

English Translation

Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals?

36
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ

Urdu Translation

تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کیسی تجویزیں کرتے ہو؟

English Translation

What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge?

37
أَمْ لَكُمْ كِتَٰبٌۭ فِيهِ تَدْرُسُونَ

Urdu Translation

کیا تمہارے پاس کوئی کتاب ہے جس میں (یہ) پڑھتے ہو

English Translation

Or do you have a scripture in which you learn

38
إِنَّ لَكُمْ فِيهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُونَ

Urdu Translation

کہ جو چیز تم پسند کرو گے وہ تم کو ضرور ملے گی

English Translation

That indeed for you is whatever you choose?

39
أَمْ لَكُمْ أَيْمَٰنٌ عَلَيْنَا بَٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۙ إِنَّ لَكُمْ لَمَا تَحْكُمُونَ

Urdu Translation

یا تم نے ہم سے قسمیں لے رکھی ہیں جو قیامت کے دن تک چلی جائیں گی کہ جس شے کا تم حکم کرو گے وہ تمہارے لئے حاضر ہوگی

English Translation

Or do you have oaths [binding] upon Us, extending until the Day of Resurrection, that indeed for you is whatever you judge?

40
سَلْهُمْ أَيُّهُم بِذَٰلِكَ زَعِيمٌ

Urdu Translation

ان سے پوچھو کہ ان میں سے اس کا کون ذمہ لیتا ہے؟

English Translation

Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible.

41
أَمْ لَهُمْ شُرَكَآءُ فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ

Urdu Translation

کیا (اس قول میں) ان کے اور بھی شریک ہیں؟ اگر یہ سچے ہیں تو اپنے شریکوں کو لا سامنے کریں

English Translation

Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful.

42
يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَن سَاقٍۢ وَيُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

Urdu Translation

جس دن پنڈلی سے کپڑا اٹھا دیا جائے گا اور کفار سجدے کے لئے بلائے جائیں گے تو سجدہ نہ کرسکیں گے

English Translation

The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able,

43
خَٰشِعَةً أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۭ ۖ وَقَدْ كَانُوا۟ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمْ سَٰلِمُونَ

Urdu Translation

ان کی آنکھیں جھکی ہوئی ہوں گی اور ان پر ذلت چھا رہی ہوگی حالانکہ پہلے (اُس وقت) سجدے کے لئے بلاتے جاتے تھے جب کہ صحیح وسالم تھے

English Translation

Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound.

44
فَذَرْنِى وَمَن يُكَذِّبُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖ سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Urdu Translation

تو مجھ کو اس کلام کے جھٹلانے والوں سے سمجھ لینے دو۔ ہم ان کو آہستہ آہستہ ایسے طریق سے پکڑیں گے کہ ان کو خبر بھی نہ ہوگی

English Translation

So leave Me, [O Muhammad], with [the matter of] whoever denies the Qur'an. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know.

45
وَأُمْلِى لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِى مَتِينٌ

Urdu Translation

اور میں ان کو مہلت دیئے جاتا ہوں میری تدبیر قوی ہے

English Translation

And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.

46
أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًۭا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍۢ مُّثْقَلُونَ

Urdu Translation

کیا تم ان سے کچھ اجر مانگتے ہو کہ ان پر تاوان کا بوجھ پڑ رہا ہے

English Translation

Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?

47
أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ

Urdu Translation

یا ان کے پاس غیب کی خبر ہے کہ (اسے) لکھتے جاتے ہیں

English Translation

Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?

48
فَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُن كَصَاحِبِ ٱلْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌۭ

Urdu Translation

تو اپنے پروردگار کے حکم کے انتظار میں صبر کئے رہو اور مچھلی (کا لقمہ ہونے) والے یونس کی طرح رہو نا کہ انہوں نے (خدا) کو پکارا اور وہ (غم و) غصے میں بھرے ہوئے تھے

English Translation

Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed.

49
لَّوْلَآ أَن تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ نِعْمَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌۭ

Urdu Translation

اگر تمہارے پروردگار کی مہربانی ان کی یاوری نہ کرتی تو وہ چٹیل میدان میں ڈال دیئے جاتے اور ان کا حال ابتر ہوجاتا

English Translation

If not that a favor from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured.

50
فَٱجْتَبَٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَجَعَلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

Urdu Translation

پھر پروردگار نے ان کو برگزیدہ کرکے نیکوکاروں میں کرلیا

English Translation

And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous.

51
وَإِن يَكَادُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُۥ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ

Urdu Translation

اور کافر جب (یہ) نصیحت (کی کتاب) سنتے ہیں تو یوں لگتے ہیں کہ تم کو اپنی نگاہوں سے پھسلا دیں گے اور کہتے یہ تو دیوانہ ہے

English Translation

And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad."

52
وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Urdu Translation

اور (لوگو) یہ (قرآن) اہل عالم کے لئے نصیحت ہے

English Translation

But it is not except a reminder to the worlds.
