Narrated Abu 'Is-haq from Musa bin `Uqba from Nafi` from Ibn `Umar who said:"Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) arranged a horse race amongst the horses that had been made lean, letting them start from Al-Hafya' and their limit (distance of running) was up to Thaniyat-al-Wada`. I asked Musa, 'What was the distance between the two places?' Musa replied, 'Six or seven miles. He arranged a race of the horses which had not been made lean sending them from Thaniyat-al-Wada`, and their limit was up to the mosque of Bani Zuraiq.' I asked, 'What was the distance between those two places?' He replied 'One mile or so.' Ibn `Umar was amongst those who participated in that horse race
ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے معاویہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابواسحاق نے، ان سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان گھوڑوں کی دوڑ کرائی جنہیں تیار کیا گیا تھا۔ یہ دوڑ مقام حفیاء سے شروع کرائی اور ثنیۃ الوداع اس کی آخری حد تھی ( ابواسحاق راوی نے بیان کیا کہ ) میں نے ابوموسیٰ سے پوچھا اس کا فاصلہ کتنا تھا؟ تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ چھ یا سات میل اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان گھوڑوں کی بھی دوڑ کرائی جنہیں تیار نہیں کیا گیا تھا۔ ایسے گھوڑوں کی دوڑ ثنیۃ الوداع سے شروع ہوئی اور حد مسجد بنی زریق تھی۔ میں نے پوچھا اس میں کتنا فاصلہ تھا؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ تقریباً ایک میل۔ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما بھی دوڑ میں شرکت کرنے والوں میں تھے۔
Narrated `Aisha:the mother of the faithful believers, I requested the Prophet (ﷺ) to permit me to participate in Jihad, but he said, "Your Jihad is the performance of Hajj
ہم سے محمد بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو سفیان ثوری نے خبر دی، انہیں معاویہ ابن اسحاق نے، انہیں عائشہ بنت طلحہ نے اور ان سے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے جہاد کی اجازت چاہی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تمہارا جہاد حج ہے۔ اور عبداللہ بن ولید نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا اور ان سے معاویہ نے یہی حدیث نقل کی۔
Narrated `Aisha:the mother of the faithful believers: The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked by his wives about Jihad and he replied, "The best Jihad (for you) is (the performance of) Hajj
ہم سے قبیصہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا اور ان سے معاویہ نے یہی حدیث اور ابوسفیان نے حبیب بن ابی عمرہ سے یہی روایت کی جو عائشہ بنت طلحہ سے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے واسطہ سے ہے ( اس میں ہے کہ ) نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے آپ کی ازواج مطہرات نے جہاد کی اجازت مانگی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ حج بہت ہی عمدہ جہاد ہے۔
Narrated `Aisha:Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) intended to proceed on a journey, he used to draw lots amongst his wives and would take the one upon whom the lot fell. Once, before setting out for Jihad, he drew lots amongst us and the lot came to me; so I went with the Prophet; and that happened after the revelation of the Verse of Hijab (i.e. veiling)
ہم سے حجاج بن منہال نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عبداللہ بن عمر نمیری نے، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے یونس بن یزید ایلی نے بیان کیا، کہا میں نے ابن شہاب زہری سے سنا، کہا کہ میں نے عروہ بن زبیر، سعید بن مسیب، علقمہ بن وقاص اور عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی حدیث سنی، ان چاروں نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی یہ حدیث مجھ سے تھوڑی تھوڑی بیان کی۔ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر تشریف لے جانا چاہتے ( جہاد کے لیے ) تو اپنی ازواج میں قرعہ ڈالتے اور جس کا نام نکل آتا انہیں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے ساتھ لے جاتے تھے۔ ایک غزوہ کے موقع پر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمارے درمیان قرعہ اندازی کی تو اس مرتبہ میرا نام آیا اور میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ گئی، یہ پردے کا حکم نازل ہونے کے بعد کا واقعہ ہے۔
Narrated Anas:On the day (of the battle) of Uhud when (some) people retreated and left the Prophet, I saw `Aisha bint Abu Bakr and Um Sulaim, with their robes tucked up so that the bangles around their ankles were visible hurrying with their water skins (in another narration it is said, "carrying the water skins on their backs"). Then they would pour the water in the mouths of the people, and return to fill the water skins again and come back again to pour water in the mouths of the people
ہم سے ابومعمر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالوارث نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالعزیز نے بیان کیا اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ احد کی لڑائی کے موقع پر مسلمان نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس سے جدا ہو گئے تھے۔ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے عائشہ بنت ابی بکر اور ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا ( انس رضی اللہ عنہ کی والدہ ) کو دیکھا کہ یہ اپنے ازار سمیٹے ہوئے تھیں اور ( تیز چلنے کی وجہ سے ) پانی کے مشکیزے چھلکاتی ہوئی لیے جا رہی تھیں اور ابومعمر کے علاوہ جعفر بن مہران نے بیان کیا کہ مشکیزے کو اپنی پشت پر ادھر سے ادھر جلدی جلدی لیے پھرتی تھیں اور قوم کو اس میں سے پانی پلاتی تھیں، پھر واپس آتی تھیں اور مشکیزوں کو بھر کر لے جاتی تھیں اور قوم کو پانی پلاتی تھیں، میں ان کے پاؤں کی پازیبیں دیکھ رہا تھا۔
Narrated `Aisha:The Prophet (ﷺ) was vigilant one night and when he reached Medina, he said, "Would that a pious man from my companions guard me tonight!" Suddenly we heard the clatter of arms. He said, "Who is that? " He (The new comer) replied, " I am Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas and have come to guard you." So, the Prophet (ﷺ) slept (that night)
ہم سے اسماعیل بن خلیل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو علی بن مسہر نے خبر دی، کہا ہم کو یحییٰ بن سعید نے خبر دی، کہا ہم کو عبداللہ بن ربیعہ بن عامر نے خبر دی، کہا کہ میں نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے سنا، آپ بیان کرتی تھیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( ایک رات ) بیداری میں گزاری، مدینہ پہنچنے کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”کاش! میرے اصحاب میں سے کوئی نیک مرد ایسا ہوتا جو رات بھر ہمارا پہرہ دیتا!“ ابھی یہی باتیں ہو رہی تھیں کہ ہم نے ہتھیار کی جھنکار سنی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دریافت فرمایا ”یہ کون صاحب ہیں؟“ ( آنے والے نے ) کہا میں ہوں سعد بن ابی وقاص، آپ کا پہرہ دینے کے لیے حاضر ہوا ہوں۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خوش ہوئے۔ ان کے لیے دعا فرمائی اور آپ سو گئے۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being. If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal by helping him to ride it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all this will be regarded as charity. A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory Congregational prayer, is regarded as charity; and guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity
ہم سے اسحاق بن نضر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالرزاق نے بیان کیا، ان سے معمر نے، ان سے ہمام نے، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”روزانہ انسان کے ہر ایک جوڑ پر صدقہ لازم ہے اور اگر کوئی شخص کسی کی سواری میں مدد کرے کہ اس کو سہارا دے کر اس کی سواری پر سوار کرا دے یا اس کا سامان اس پر اٹھا کر رکھ دے تو یہ بھی صدقہ ہے۔ اچھا اور پاک لفظ بھی ( زبان سے نکالنا ) صدقہ ہے۔ ہر قدم جو نماز کے لیے اٹھتا ہے وہ بھی صدقہ ہے اور ( کسی مسافر کو ) راستہ بتا دینا بھی صدقہ ہے۔“
Narrated Abu Huraira:While some Ethiopians were playing in the presence of the Prophet, `Umar came in, picked up a stone and hit them with it. On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O `Umar! Allow them (to play)." Ma`mar (the subnarrator) added that they were playing in the Mosque
ہم سے ابراہیم بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو ہشام نے خبر دی، انہیں معمر نے، انہیں زہری نے، انہیں ابن المسیب نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ حبشہ کے کچھ لوگ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے حراب ( چھوٹے نیزے ) کا کھیل دکھلا رہے تھے کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ آ گئے اور کنکریاں اٹھا کر انہیں ان سے مارا۔ لیکن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”عمر انہیں کھیل دکھانے دو۔“ علی بن مدینی نے یہ بیان زیادہ کیا کہ ہم سے عبدالرزاق نے بیان کیا، انہیں معمر نے خبر دی کہ مسجد میں ( یہ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم اپنے کھیل کا مظاہرہ کر رہے تھے ) ۔
Narrated `Aisha:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to my house while two girls were singing beside me the songs of Bu'ath (a story about the war between the two tribes of the Ansar, i.e. Khazraj and Aus, before Islam.) The Prophet (ﷺ) reclined on the bed and turned his face to the other side. Abu Bakr came and scolded me and said protestingly, "Instrument of Satan in the presence of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) turned his face towards him and said, "Leave them." When Abu Bakr became inattentive, I waved the two girls to go away and they left. It was the day of `Id when negroes used to play with leather shields and spears. Either I requested Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) or he himself asked me whether I would like to see the display. I replied in the affirmative. Then he let me stand behind him and my cheek was touching his cheek and he was saying, "Carry on, O Bani Arfida (i.e. negroes)!" When I got tired, he asked me if that was enough. I replied in the affirmative and he told me to leave
