Narrated Um Al-Fadl bint Al-Harith:"While the people were with me on the day of `Arafat they differed as to whether the Prophet (ﷺ) was fasting or not; some said that he was fasting while others said that he was not fasting. So, I sent to him a bowl full of milk while he was riding over his camel and he drank it
ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، ان سے امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے بیان کیا کہ مجھ سے سالم نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے ام فضل رضی اللہ عنہا کے مولی عمیر نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ام فضل رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا۔ (دوسری سند) امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا اور ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف نے بیان کیا، انہیں امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے خبر دی، انہیں عمر بن عبداللہ کے غلام ابونضر نے، انہیں عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے غلام عمیر نے اور انہیں ام فضل بنت حارث رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہ ان کے یہاں کچھ لوگ عرفات کے دن نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے روزہ کے بارے میں جھگڑ رہے تھے۔ بعض نے کہا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزہ سے ہیں۔ اور بعض نے کہا کہ روزہ سے نہیں ہیں۔ اس پر ام فضل رضی اللہ عنہا نے آپ کی خدمت میں دودھ کا ایک پیالہ بھیجا ( تاکہ حقیقت ظاہر ہو جائے ) آپ اپنے اونٹ پر سوار تھے، آپ نے دودھ پی لیا۔
Narrated Abu Sa`id:The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the fasting of `Id-ul-Fitr and `Id-ul-Adha (two feast days) and also the wearing of As-Samma' (a single garment covering the whole body), and sitting with one's leg drawn up while being wrapped in one garment. He also forbade the prayers after the Fajr (morning) and the `Asr (afternoon) prayers

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:(who fought in twelve Ghazawat in the company of the Prophet). I heard four things from the Prophet (ﷺ) and they won my admiration. He said; -1. "No lady should travel on a journey of two days except with her husband or a Dhi-Mahram; -2. "No fasting is permissible on the two days of Id-ul-Fitr and `Id-ul-Adha; -3. "No prayer (may be offered) after the morning compulsory prayer until the sun rises; and no prayer after the `Asr prayer till the sun sets; -4. "One should travel only for visiting three Masjid (Mosques): Masjid-al-Haram (Mecca), Masjid-al- Aqsa (Jerusalem), and this (my) Mosque (at Medina)
ہم سے حجاج بن منہال نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبدالملک بن عمیر نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے قزعہ سے سنا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، آپ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ بارہ جہادوں میں شریک رہے تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے چار باتیں سنی ہیں جو مجھے بہت ہی پسند آئیں۔ آپ نے فرمایا کہ کوئی عورت دو دن ( یا اس سے زیادہ ) کے اندازے کا سفر اس وقت تک نہ کرے جب تک اس کے ساتھ اس کا شوہر یا کوئی اور محرم نہ ہو۔ اور عیدالفطر اور عید الاضحی کے دنوں میں روزہ رکھنا جائز نہیں ہے اور صبح کی نماز کے بعد سورج نکلنے تک اور عصر کی نماز کے بعد سورج ڈوبنے تک کوئی نماز جائز نہیں اور چوتھی بات یہ کہ تین مساجد کے سوا اور کسی جگہ کے لیے «شد الرحال» سفر نہ کیا جائے، ”مسجد الحرام، مسجد الاقصیٰ اور میری یہ مسجد ( مسجد نبوی ) ۔
Narrated Yahya:Hisham said, "My father said that 'Aishah (ra) used to observe Saum (fast) on the days of Mina." His (i.e., Hisham's) father also used to observe Saum on those days
ابوعبداللہ (امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ) فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھ سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشام نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے میرے باپ عروہ نے خبر دی کہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا ایام منی ( ایام تشریق ) کے روزے رکھتی تھیں اور ہشام کے باپ ( عروہ ) بھی ان دنوں میں روزہ رکھتے تھے۔

Narrated `Aisha:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ordered (the Muslims) to fast on the day of 'Ashura', and when fasting in the month of Ramadan was prescribed, it became optional for one to fast on that day ('Ashura') or not
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی، ان سے زہری نے بیان کیا کہ مجھے عروہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی، ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ ( شروع اسلام میں ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عاشوراء کے دن کا روزہ رکھنے کا حکم دیا تھا۔ پھر جب رمضان کے روزے فرض ہو گئے تو جس کا دل چاہتا اس دن روزہ رکھتا اور جو نہ چاہتا نہیں رکھا کرتا تھا۔
Narrated Aisha:Quraish used to fast on the day of 'Ashura' in the Pre-Islamic period, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) too, used to fast on that day. When he came to Medina, he fasted on that day and ordered others to fast, too. Later when the fasting of the month of Ramadan was prescribed, he gave up fasting on the day of 'Ashura' and it became optional for one to fast on it or not
ہم سے عبداللہ بن مسلمہ قعنبی نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے امام مالک رحمہ اللہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہشام بن عروہ نے اور ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ عاشوراء کے دن زمانہ جاہلیت میں قریش روزہ رکھا کرتے تھے اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی رکھتے۔ پھر جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ تشریف لائے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہاں بھی عاشورہ کے دن روزہ رکھا اور اس کا لوگوں کو بھی حکم دیا۔ لیکن رمضان کی فرضیت کے بعد آپ نے اس کو چھوڑ دیا اور فرمایا کہ اب جس کا جی چاہے اس دن روزہ رکھے اور جس کا چاہے نہ رکھے۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven
ہم سے یحییٰ بن بکیر نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے لیث بن سعد نے بیان کیا، ان سے عقیل نے، ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، کہ مجھے ابوسلمہ نے خبر دی، ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رمضان کے فضائل بیان فرما رہے تھے کہ جو شخص بھی اس میں ایمان اور نیت اجر و ثواب کے ساتھ ( رات میں ) نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہو اس کے پچھلے تمام گناہ معاف کر دیئے جائیں گے۔
