Narrated Jundub:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Amongst the nations before you there was a man who got a wound, and growing impatient (with its pain), he took a knife and cut his hand with it and the blood did not stop till he died. Allah said, 'My Slave hurried to bring death upon himself so I have forbidden him (to enter) Paradise
مجھ سے محمد نے بیان کیا، کہا مجھ سے حجاج نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جریر نے بیان کیا، ان سے حسن نے، کہا ہم سے جندب بن عبداللہ نے اسی مسجد میں بیان کیا (حسن نے کہا کہ) انہوں نے جب ہم سے بیان کیا ہم اسے بھولے نہیں اور نہ ہمیں اس کا اندیشہ ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف اس حدیث کی نسبت غلط کی ہو گی، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”پچھلے زمانے میں ایک شخص ( کے ہاتھ میں ) زخم ہو گیا تھا اور اسے اس سے بڑی تکلیف تھی، آخر اس نے چھری سے اپنا ہاتھ کاٹ لیا اس کا نتیجہ یہ ہوا کہ خون بہنے لگا اور اسی سے وہ مر گیا پھر اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا کہ میرے بندے نے خود میرے پاس آنے میں جلدی کی اس لیے میں نے بھی جنت کو اس پر حرام کر دیا۔“
Narrated `Aisha:(the wife of the Prophet) I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the plague. He told me that it was a Punishment sent by Allah on whom He wished, and Allah made it a source of mercy for the believers, for if one in the time of an epidemic plague stays in his country patiently hoping for Allah's Reward and believing that nothing will befall him except what Allah has written for him, he will get the reward of a martyr
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے داؤد بن ابی فرات نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبداللہ بن بریدہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے یحییٰ بن یعمر نے اور ان سے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے طاعون کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ یہ ایک عذاب ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ جس پر چاہتا ہے بھیجتا ہے لیکن اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کو مومنوں کے لیے رحمت بنا دیا ہے۔ اگر کسی شخص کی بستی میں طاعون پھیل جائے اور وہ صبر کے ساتھ اللہ کی رحمت سے امید لگائے ہوئے وہیں ٹھہرا رہے کہ ہو گا وہی جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے قسمت میں لکھا ہے تو اسے شہید کے برابر ثواب ملے گا۔
