Narrated Ibn `Abbas:The Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions reached Mecca in the morning of the 4th Dhul-Hijja reciting Talbiya (O Allah! We are obedient to your orders, we respond to your call) ... intending to perform Hajj. The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered his companions to assume the Ihram for Umra instead of Hajj, excepting those who had Hadi (sacrifice) with them
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا کہا کہ ہم سے وہیب نے بیان کیا کہا کہ ہم سے ایوب نے بیان کیا ان سے ابوالعالیہ براء نے ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صحابہ کو ساتھ لے کر تلبیہ کہتے ہوئے ذی الحجہ کی چوتھی تاریخ کو ( مکہ میں ) تشریف لائے پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جن کے پاس ہدی نہیں ہے وہ بجائے حج کے عمرہ کی نیت کر لیں اور عمرہ سے فارغ ہو کر حلال ہو جائیں پھر حج کا احرام باندھیں۔ اس حدیث کی متابعت عطاء نے جابر سے کی ہے۔
Narrated Anas bin Malik: I offered four rak`at of Zuhr prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) at Medina and two rak`at at Dhul-Hulaifa. (i.e. shortened the `Asr prayer)
ہم سے ابونعیم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان نے، محمد بن منکدر اور ابراہیم بن میسرہ سے بیان کیا، ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ مدینہ منورہ میں ظہر کی چار رکعت پڑھی اور ذوالحلیفہ میں عصر کی دو رکعت پڑھی۔
Narrated `Aisha:"When the prayers were first enjoined they were of two rak`at each. Later the prayer in a journey was kept as it was but the prayers for non-travelers were completed." Az-Zuhri said, "I asked `Urwa what made Aisha pray the full prayers (in journey)." He replied, "She did the same as `Uthman did
ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد مسندی نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے زہری سے بیان کیا، ان سے عروہ نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ پہلے نماز دو رکعت فرض ہوئی تھی بعد میں سفر کی نماز تو اپنی اسی حالت پر رہ گئی البتہ حضر کی نماز پوری ( چار رکعت ) کر دی گئی۔ زہری نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے عروہ سے پوچھا کہ پھر خود عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کیوں نماز پوری پڑھی تھی انہوں نے اس کا جواب یہ دیا کہ عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس کی جو تاویل کی تھی وہی انہوں نے بھی کی۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:"I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) delaying the Maghrib prayer till he offered it along with the `Isha' prayer whenever he was in a hurry during the journey." Salim narrated, "Ibn `Umar used to do the same whenever he was in a hurry during the journey." And Salim added, "Ibn `Umar used to pray the Maghrib and `Isha' prayers together in Al-Muzdalifa." Salim said, "Ibn `Umar delayed the Maghrib prayer because at that time he heard the news of the death of his wife Safiya bint Abi `Ubaid. I said to him, 'The prayer (is due).' He said, 'Go on.' Again I said, 'The prayer (is due).' He said, 'Go on,' till we covered two or three miles. Then he got down, prayed and said, 'I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) praying in this way, whenever he was in a hurry during the journey.' `Abdullah (bin `Umar) added, "Whenever the Prophet was in a hurry, he used to delay the Maghrib prayer and then offer three rak`at (of the Maghrib) and perform Taslim, and after waiting for a short while, Iqama used to be pronounced for the `Isha' prayer when he would offer two rak`at and perform Taslim. He would never offer any optional prayer till the middle of the night (when he used to pray the Tahajjud)
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں شعیب نے خبر دی، زہری سے انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھے سالم نے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے خبر دی آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا جب سفر میں چلنے کی جلدی ہوتی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مغرب کی نماز دیر سے پڑھتے یہاں تک کہ مغرب اور عشاء ایک ساتھ ملا کر پڑھتے۔ سالم نے کہا کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو بھی جب سفر میں جلدی ہوتی تو اس طرح کرتے۔

Narrated `Abdullah bin 'Amir from his father who said:I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) offering the prayer on his mount (Rahila) whatever direction it took
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے عبدالاعلیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے معمر نے زہری سے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن عامر نے اور ان سے ان کے باپ نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ اونٹنی پر نماز پڑھتے رہتے خواہ اس کا منہ کسی طرف ہو۔
Narrated Nafi`:Ibn `Umar (while on a journey) used to offer the prayer and the witr on his mount (Rahila). He said that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do so
ہم سے ابوالاعلیٰ بن حماد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے وہیب نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نفل نماز سواری پر پڑھتے تھے۔ اسی طرح وتر بھی۔ اور فرماتے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی ایسا کرتے تھے۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin Dinar:On traveling, `Abdullah bin `Umar used to offer the prayer on his Mount by signs whatever direction it took. `Abdullah said that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do so
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے عبدالعزیز بن مسلم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے عبداللہ بن دینار نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سفر میں اپنی اونٹنی پر نماز پڑھتے خواہ اس کا منہ کسی طرف ہوتا۔ آپ اشاروں سے نماز پڑھتے۔ آپ کا بیان تھا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی اسی طرح کرتے تھے۔
Narrated 'Amir bin Rabi`a:I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) on his Mount praying Nawafil by nodding his head, whatever direction he faced, but Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) never did the same in offering the compulsory prayers
ہم سے یحییٰ بن بکیر نے بیان کیا انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے لیث نے بیان کیا، ان سے عقیل نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن عامر بن ربیعہ نے کہ عامر بن ربیعہ نے انہیں خبر دی انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اونٹنی پر نماز نفل پڑھتے دیکھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سر کے اشاروں سے پڑھ رہے تھے اس کا خیال کئے بغیر کہ سواری کا منہ کدھر ہوتا ہے لیکن فرض نمازوں میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس طرح نہیں کرتے تھے۔
Narrated Salim:At night `Abdullah bin `Umar used to offer the prayer on the back of his animal during the journey and never cared about the direction he faced. Ibn `Umar said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to offer the optional prayer on the back of his Mount facing any direction and also used to pray the witr on it but never offered the compulsory prayer on it
اور لیث بن سعد نے بیان کیا کہ مجھ سے یونس نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ابن شہاب کے واسطہ سے بیان کیا انہوں نے کہا کہ سالم نے بیان کیا کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سفر میں رات کے وقت اپنے جانور پر نماز پڑھتے کچھ پرواہ نہ کرتے کہ اس کا منہ کس طرف ہے۔ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی اونٹنی پر نفل نماز پڑھا کرتے چاہے اس کا منہ کدھر ہی ہو اور وتر بھی سواری پر پڑھ لیتے تھے البتہ فرض اس پر نہیں پڑھتے تھے۔
