Narrated Mus`ab bin Sa`d:I offered prayer beside my father and approximated both my hands and placed them in between the knees. My father told me not to do so and said, "We used to do the same but we were forbidden (by the Prophet) to do it and were ordered to place the hands on the knees
ہم سے ابوالولید ہشام بن عبدالملک نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ابویعفور اکبر سے، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے مصعب بن سعد سے سنا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے اپنے والد کے پہلو میں نماز پڑھی اور اپنی دونوں ہتھیلیوں کو ملا کر رانوں کے درمیان رکھ لیا۔ اس پر میرے باپ نے مجھے ٹوکا اور فرمایا کہ ہم بھی پہلے اسی طرح کرتے تھے۔ لیکن بعد میں اس سے روک دئیے گئے اور حکم ہوا کہ ہم اپنے ہاتھوں کو گھٹنوں پر رکھیں۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi Qatada Al-Ansari:My father said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whenever I stand for prayer, I want to prolong it but on hearing the cries of a child, I would shorten it as I dislike to put its mother in trouble
ہم سے محمد بن مسکین نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے بشر بن بکر نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہمیں امام اوزاعی نے خبر دی، کہا کہ مجھ سے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن ابی قتادہ انصاری نے، ان سے ان کے والد ابوقتادہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہوتا ہوں، میرا ارادہ یہ ہوتا ہے کہ نماز لمبی کروں لیکن کسی بچے کے رونے کی آواز سن کر نماز کو مختصر کر دیتا ہوں کہ مجھے اس کی ماں کو تکلیف دینا برا معلوم ہوتا ہے۔
Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah:My father said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'If the wife of any one of you asks permission (to go to the mosque) do not forbid her
ہم سے مسدد بن مسرہد نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے یزید بن زریع نے بیان کیا، ان سے معمر نے، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے سالم بن عبداللہ بن عمر نے، ان سے ان کے باپ نے، انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کی بیوی ( نماز پڑھنے کے لیے مسجد میں آنے کی ) اس سے اجازت مانگے تو شوہر کو چاہیے کہ اس کو نہ روکے۔
Narrated Ibn `Umar:I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "All of you are Guardians." Yunus said: Ruzaiq bin Hukaim wrote to Ibn Shihab while I was with him at Wadi-al-Qura saying, "Shall I lead the Jumua prayer?" Ruzaiq was working on the land (i.e. farming) and there was a group of Sudanese people and some others with him; Ruzaiq was then the Governor of Aila. Ibn Shihab wrote (to Ruzaiq) ordering him to lead the Jumua prayer and telling him that Salim told him that `Abdullah bin `Umar had said, "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'All of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and the things under your care. The Imam (i.e. ruler) is the guardian of his subjects and is responsible for them and a man is the guardian of his family and is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it. A servant is the guardian of his master's belongings and is responsible for them.' I thought that he also said, 'A man is the guardian of his father's property and is responsible for it. All of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and the things under your care
ہم سے بشر بن محمد مروزی نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہمیں عبداللہ بن مبارک نے خبر دی، کہا کہ ہمیں یونس بن یزید نے زہری سے خبر دی، انہیں سالم بن عبداللہ نے ابن عمر سے خبر دی، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ تم میں سے ہر شخص نگہبان ہے اور لیث نے اس میں یہ زیادتی کی کہ یونس نے بیان کیا کہ رزیق بن حکیم نے ابن شہاب کو لکھا، ان دنوں میں بھی وادی القریٰ میں ابن شہاب کے پاس ہی تھا کہ کیا میں جمعہ پڑھا سکتا ہوں۔ رزیق ( ایلہ کے اطراف میں ) ایک زمین کاشت کروا رہے تھے۔ وہاں حبشہ وغیرہ کے کچھ لوگ موجود تھے۔ اس زمانہ میں رزیق ایلہ میں ( عمر بن عبدالعزیز کی طرف سے ) حاکم تھے۔ ابن شہاب رحمہ اللہ نے انہیں لکھوایا، میں وہیں سن رہا تھا کہ رزیق جمعہ پڑھائیں۔ ابن شہاب رزیق کو یہ خبر دے رہے تھے کہ سالم نے ان سے حدیث بیان کی کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا۔ آپ نے فرمایا کہ تم میں سے ہر ایک نگراں ہے اور اس کے ماتحتوں کے متعلق اس سے سوال ہو گا۔ امام نگراں ہے اور اس سے سوال اس کی رعایا کے بارے میں ہو گا۔ انسان اپنے گھر کا نگراں ہے اور اس سے اس کی رعیت کے بارے میں سوال ہو گا۔ عورت اپنے شوہر کے گھر کی نگراں ہے اور اس سے اس کی رعیت کے بارے میں سوال ہو گا۔ خادم اپنے آقا کے مال کا نگراں ہے اور اس سے اس کی رعیت کے بارے میں سوال ہو گا۔ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ میرا خیال ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ بھی فرمایا کہ انسان اپنے باپ کے مال کا نگراں ہے اور اس کی رعیت کے بارے میں اس سے سوال ہو گا اور تم میں سے ہر شخص نگراں ہے اور سب سے اس کی رعیت کے بارے میں سوال ہو گا۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi Qatada on the authority of his father:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do not stand up (for prayer) unless you see me, and observe calmness and solemnity
ہم سے عمرو بن علی فلاس نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابو قتیبہ بن قتیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے علی بن مبارک نے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر سے بیان کیا، ان سے عبداللہ بن ابی قتادہ نے (امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے یقین ہے کہ) عبداللہ نے اپنے باپ ابوقتادہ سے روایت کی ہے، وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے راوی ہیں کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جب تک مجھے دیکھ نہ لو صف بندی کے لیے کھڑے نہ ہوا کرو اور آہستگی سے چلنا لازم کر لو۔
Narrated Salim:My father said , "I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the Khutba on the pulpit and he said, 'Whoever comes for the Jumua prayer should take a bath (before coming)
ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابن ابی ذئب نے بیان کیا، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے سالم نے، ان سے ان کے باپ (ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما) نے فرمایا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی الہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے منبر پر خطبہ دیتے ہوئے فرمایا کہ جو جمعہ کے لیے آئے وہ پہلے غسل کر لیا کرے۔
Al-Hasan bin Muslim told me that Ibn `Abbas had said, "I joined the Prophet, Abu Bakr, `Umar and `Uthman in the `Id ul Fitr prayers. They used to offer the prayer before the Khutba and then they used to deliver the Khutba afterwards. Once the Prophet (ﷺ) I came out (for the `Id prayer) as if I were just observing him waving to the people to sit down. He, then accompanied by Bilal, came crossing the rows till he reached the women. He recited the following verse:'O Prophet! When the believing women come to you to take the oath of fealty to you . . . (to the end of the verse) (60.12).' After finishing the recitation he said, "O ladies! Are you fulfilling your covenant?" None except one woman said, "Yes." Hasan did not know who was that woman. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then give alms." Bilal spread his garment and said, "Keep on giving alms. Let my father and mother sacrifice their lives for you (ladies)." So the ladies kept on putting their Fatkhs (big rings) and other kinds of rings in Bilal's garment." `Abdur-Razaq said, " 'Fatkhs' is a big ring which used to be worn in the (Pre-Islamic) period of ignorance
ابن جریج نے کہا کہ حسن بن مسلم نے مجھے خبر دی، انہیں طاؤس نے، انہیں عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور ابوبکر، عمر اور عثمان رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ عیدالفطر کی نماز پڑھنے گیا ہوں۔ یہ سب حضرات خطبہ سے پہلے نماز پڑھتے اور بعد میں خطبہ دیتے تھے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اٹھے، میری نظروں کے سامنے وہ منظر ہے، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم لوگوں کو ہاتھ کے اشارے سے بٹھا رہے تھے۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صفوں سے گزرتے ہوئے عورتوں کی طرف آئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ بلال تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی ”اے نبی! جب تمہارے پاس مومن عورتیں بیعت کے لیے آئیں“ الآیہ۔ پھر جب خطبہ سے فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا کہ کیا تم ان باتوں پر قائم ہو؟ ایک عورت نے جواب دیا کہ ہاں۔ ان کے علاوہ کوئی عورت نہ بولی، حسن کو معلوم نہیں کہ بولنے والی خاتون کون تھیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خیرات کے لیے حکم فرمایا اور بلال رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنا کپڑا پھیلا دیا اور کہا کہ لاؤ تم پر میرے ماں باپ فدا ہوں۔ چنانچہ عورتیں چھلے اور انگوٹھیاں بلال رضی اللہ عنہ کے کپڑے میں ڈالنے لگیں۔ عبدالرزاق نے کہا «فتخ» بڑے ( چھلے ) کو کہتے ہیں جس کا جاہلیت کے زمانہ میں استعمال تھا۔
Narrated Aiyub:Hafsa bint Seereen said, "On Id we used to forbid our girls to go out for `Id prayer. A lady came and stayed at the palace of Bani Khalaf and I went to her. She said, 'The husband of my sister took part in twelve holy battles along with the Prophet (ﷺ) and my sister was with her husband in six of them. My sister said that they used to nurse the sick and treat the wounded. Once she asked, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! If a woman has no veil, is there any harm if she does not come out (on `Id day)?' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Her companion should let her share her veil with her, and the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers.' " Hafsa added, "When Um-`Atiya came, I went to her and asked her, 'Did you hear anything about so-and-so?' Um-`Atiya said, 'Yes, let my father be sacrificed for the Prophet (ﷺ). (And whenever she mentioned the name of the Prophet (ﷺ) she always used to say, 'Let my father be sacrificed for him'). He said, 'Virgin mature girls staying often screened (or said, 'Mature girls and virgins staying often screened--Aiyub is not sure as which was right) and menstruating women should come out (on the `Id day). But the menstruating women should keep away from the Musalla. And all the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers'." Hafsa said, "On that I said to Um-`Atiya, 'Also those who are menstruating?' " Um-`Atiya replied, "Yes. Do they not present themselves at `Arafat and elsewhere?
ہم سے ابومعمر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے عبدالوارث نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ایوب سختیانی نے حفصہ بن سیرین کے واسطے سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم اپنی لڑکیوں کو عیدگاہ جانے سے منع کرتے تھے۔ پھر ایک خاتون باہر سے آئی اور قصر بنو خلف میں انہوں نے قیام کیا میں ان سے ملنے کے لیے حاضر ہوئی تو انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ ان کی بہن کے شوہر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ بارہ لڑائیوں میں شریک رہے اور خود ان کی بہن اپنے شوہر کے ساتھ چھ لڑائیوں میں شریک ہوئی تھیں، ان کا بیان تھا کہ ہم مریضوں کی خدمت کیا کرتے تھے اور زخمیوں کی مرہم پٹی کرتے تھے۔ انہوں نے پوچھا کہ یا رسول اللہ! کیا ہم میں سے اگر کسی کے پاس چادر نہ ہو اور اس وجہ سے وہ عید کے دن ( عیدگاہ ) نہ جا سکے تو کوئی حرج ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اس کی سہیلی اپنی چادر کا ایک حصہ اسے اڑھا دے اور پھر وہ خیر اور مسلمانوں کی دعا میں شریک ہوں۔ حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ پھر جب ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا یہاں تشریف لائیں تو میں ان کی خدمت میں بھی حاضر ہوئی اور دریافت کیا کہ آپ نے فلاں فلاں بات سنی ہے۔ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ہاں میرے باپ آپ پر فدا ہوں۔ ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا جب بھی نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ذکر کرتیں تو یہ ضرور کہتیں کہ میرے باپ آپ پر فدا ہوں، ہاں تو انہوں نے بتلایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جوان پردہ والی یا جوان اور پردہ والی باہر نکلیں۔ شبہ ایوب کو تھا۔ البتہ حائضہ عورتیں عیدگاہ سے علیحدہ ہو کر بیٹھیں انہیں خیر اور مسلمانوں کی دعا میں ضرور شریک ہونا چاہیے۔ حفصہ نے کہا کہ میں نے ام عطیہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے دریافت کیا کہ حائضہ عورتیں بھی؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کیا حائضہ عورتیں عرفات نہیں جاتیں اور کیا وہ فلاں فلاں جگہوں میں شریک نہیں ہوتیں ( پھر اجتماع عید ہی کی شرکت میں کون سی قباحت ہے ) ۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin Dinar:My father said, "I heard Ibn `Umar reciting the poetic verses of Abu Talib: And a white (person) (i.e. the Prophet) who is requested to pray for rain and who takes care of the orphans and is the guardian of widows." Salim's father (Ibn `Umar) said, "The following poetic verse occurred to my mind while I was looking at the face of the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was praying for rain. He did not get down till the rain water flowed profusely from every roof-gutter: And a white (person) who is requested to pray for rain and who takes care of the orphans and is the guardian of widows . . . And these were the words of Abu Talib
