Narrated Abu Musa:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "An honest treasurer who gives what he is ordered to give fully, perfectly and willingly to the person to whom he is ordered to give, is regarded as one of the two charitable persons
ہم سے محمد بن علاء نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے برید بن عبداللہ نے، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابوبردہ نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، امانت دار خزانچی جو خرچ کرتا ہے۔ بعض دفعہ یہ فرمایا کہ جو دیتا ہے حکم کے مطابق کامل اور پوری طرح جس چیز ( کے دینے ) کا اسے حکم ہو اور اسے دیتے وقت اس کا دل بھی خوش ہو، تو وہ بھی صدقہ کرنے والوں میں سے ایک ہے۔
Narrated Anas bin Malik:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him
ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابوعوانہ نے بیان کیا، (دوسری سند) اور مجھ سے عبدالرحمٰن بن مبارک نے بیان کیا ان سے ابوعوانہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے اور ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، کوئی بھی مسلمان جو ایک درخت کا پودا لگائے یا کھیتی میں بیج بوئے، پھر اس میں سے پرند یا انسان یا جانور جو بھی کھاتے ہیں وہ اس کی طرف سے صدقہ ہے مسلم نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے ابان نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا، اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حوالہ سے۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "While three men were walking, It started raining and they took shelter (refuge) in a cave in a mountain. A big rock rolled down from the mountain and closed the mouth of the cave. They said to each other, "Think of good deeds which you did for Allah's sake only, and invoke Allah by giving reference to those deeds so that He may remove this rock from you." One of them said, 'O Allah! I had old parents and small children and I used to graze the sheep for them. On my return to them in the evening, I used to milk (the sheep) and start providing my parents first of all before my children. One day I was delayed and came late at night and found my parents sleeping. I milked (the sheep) as usual and stood by their heads. I hated to wake them up and disliked to give milk to my children before them, although my children were weeping (because of hunger) at my feet till the day dawned. O Allah! If I did this for Your sake only, kindly remove the rock so that we could see the sky through it.' So, Allah removed the rock a little and they saw the sky. The second man said, 'O Allah! I was in love with a cousin of mine like the deepest love a man may have for a woman. I wanted to outrage her chastity but she refused unless I gave her one hundred Dinars. So, I struggled to collect that amount. And when I sat between her legs, she said, 'O Allah's slave! Be afraid of Allah and do not deflower me except rightfully (by marriage).' So, I got up. O Allah! If I did it for Your sake only, please remove the rock.' The rock shifted a little more. Then the third man said, 'O Allah! I employed a laborer for a Faraq of rice and when he finished his job and demanded his right, I presented it to him, but he refused to take it. So, I sowed the rice many time till I gathered cows and their shepherd (from the yield). (Then after some time) He came and said to me, 'Fear Allah (and give me my right)." I said, 'Go and take those cows and the shepherd.' He said, 'Be afraid of Allah! Don't mock at me.' I said, 'I am not mocking at you. Take (all that).' So, he took all that. O Allah! If I did that for Your sake only, please remove the rest of the rock.' So, Allah removed the rock
ہم سے ابراہیم بن المنذر نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوضمرہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، تین آدمی کہیں چلے جا رہے تھے کہ بارش نے ان کو آ لیا۔ تینوں نے ایک پہاڑ کی غار میں پناہ لے لی، اچانک اوپر سے ایک چٹان غار کے سامنے آ گری، اور انہیں ( غار کے اندر ) بالکل بند کر دیا۔ اب ان میں سے بعض لوگوں نے کہا کہ تم لوگ اب اپنے ایسے کاموں کو یاد کرو۔ جنہیں تم نے خالص اللہ تعالیٰ کے لیے کیا ہو اور اسی کام کا واسطہ دے کر اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کرو۔ ممکن ہے اس طرح اللہ تعالیٰ تمہاری اس مصیبت کو ٹال دے، چنانچہ ایک شخص نے دعا شروع کی۔ اے اللہ! میرے والدین بہت بوڑھے تھے اور میرے چھوٹے چھوٹے بچے بھی تھے۔ میں ان کے لیے ( جانور ) چرایا کرتا تھا۔ پھر جب واپس ہوتا تو دودھ دوہتا۔ سب سے پہلے، اپنی اولاد سے بھی پہلے، میں والدین ہی کو دودھ پلاتا تھا۔ ایک دن دیر ہو گئی اور رات گئے گھر واپس آیا، اس وقت میرے ماں باپ سو چکے تھے۔ میں نے معمول کے مطابق دودھ دوہا اور ( اس کا پیالہ لے کر ) میں ان کے سرہانے کھڑا ہو گیا۔ میں نے پسند نہیں کیا کہ انہیں جگاؤں۔ لیکن اپنے بچوں کو بھی ( والدین سے پہلے ) پلانا مجھے پسند نہیں تھا۔ بچے صبح تک میرے قدموں پر پڑے تڑپتے رہے۔ پس اگر تیرے نزدیک بھی میرا یہ عمل صرف تیری رضا کے لیے تھا تو ( غار سے اس چٹان کو ہٹا کر ) ہمارے لیے اتنا راستہ بنا دے کہ آسمان نظر آ سکے۔ چنانچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے راستہ بنا دیا اور انہیں آسمان نظر آنے لگا۔ دوسرے نے کہا اے اللہ! میری ایک چچازاد بہن تھی۔ مرد عورتوں سے جس طرح کی انتہائی محبت کر سکتے ہیں، مجھے اس سے اتنی ہی محبت تھی۔ میں نے اسے اپنے پاس بلانا چاہا لیکن وہ سو دینار دینے کی صورت راضی ہوئی۔ میں نے کوشش کی اور وہ رقم جمع کی۔ پھر جب میں اس کے دونوں پاؤں کے درمیان بیٹھ گیا، تو اس نے مجھ سے کہا، اے اللہ کے بندے! اللہ سے ڈر اور اس کی مہر کو حق کے بغیر نہ توڑ۔ میں یہ سنتے ہی دور ہو گیا، اگر میرا یہ عمل تیرے علم میں بھی تیری رضا ہی کے لیے تھا تو ( اس غار سے ) پتھر کو ہٹا دے۔ پس غار کا منہ کچھ اور کھلا۔ اب تیسرا بولا کہ اے اللہ! میں نے ایک مزدور تین فرق چاول کی مزدوری پر مقرر کیا تھا جب اس نے اپنا کام پورا کر لیا تو مجھ سے کہا کہ اب میری مزدوری مجھے دیدے۔ میں نے پیش کر دی لیکن اس وقت وہ انکار کر بیٹھا۔ پھر میں برابر اس کی اجرت سے کاشت کرتا رہا اور اس کے نتیجہ میں بڑھنے سے بیل اور چرواہے میرے پاس جمع ہو گئے۔ اب وہ شخص آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ اللہ سے ڈر! میں نے کہا کہ بیل اور اس کے چرواہے کے پاس جا اور اسے لے لے۔ اس نے کہا اللہ سے ڈر! اور مجھ سے مذاق نہ کر، میں نے کہا کہ مذاق نہیں کر رہا ہوں۔ ( یہ سب تیرا ہی ہے ) اب تم اسے لے جاؤ۔ پس اس نے ان سب پر قبضہ کر لیا۔ الہٰی! اگر تیرے علم میں بھی میں نے یہ کام تیری خوشنودی ہی کے لیے کیا تھا تو تو اس غار کو کھول دے۔ اب وہ غار پورا کھل چکا تھا۔ ابوعبداللہ ( امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ ) نے کہا کہ ابن عقبہ نے نافع سے ( اپنی روایت میں «فبغيت» کے بجائے ) «فسعيت» نقل کیا ہے۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:Once the Prophet (ﷺ) was narrating (a story), while a bedouin was sitting with him. "One of the inhabitants of Paradise will ask Allah to allow him to cultivate the land. Allah will ask him, 'Are you not living in the pleasures you like?' He will say, 'Yes, but I like to cultivate the land.' " The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "When the man (will be permitted he) will sow the seeds and the plants will grow up and get ripe, ready for reaping and so on till it will be as huge as mountains within a wink. Allah will then say to him, 'O son of Adam! Take here you are, gather (the yield); nothing satisfies you.' " On that, the bedouin said, "The man must be either from Quraish (i.e. an emigrant) or an Ansari, for they are farmers, whereas we are not farmers." The Prophet (ﷺ) smiled (at this)
ہم سے محمد بن سنان نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے فلیح نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہلال بن علی نے بیان کیا، (دوسری سند) اور ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابوعامر نے بیان کیا، ان سے فلیح نے بیان کیا، ان سے ہلال بن علی نے، ان سے عطاء بن یسار نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک دن بیان فرما رہے تھے ایک دیہاتی بھی مجلس میں حاضر تھا کہ اہل جنت میں سے ایک شخص اپنے رب سے کھیتی کرنے کی اجازت چاہے گا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے فرمائے گا کیا اپنی موجودہ حالت پر تو راضی نہیں ہے؟ وہ کہے گا کیوں نہیں! لیکن میرا جی کھیتی کرنے کو چاہتا ہے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ پھر اس نے بیج ڈالا۔ پلک جھپکنے میں وہ اگ بھی آیا۔ پک بھی گیا اور کاٹ بھی لیا گیا۔ اور اس کے دانے پہاڑوں کی طرح ہوئے۔ اب اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے، اے ابن آدم! اسے رکھ لے، تجھے کوئی چیز آسودہ نہیں کر سکتی۔ یہ سن کر دیہاتی نے کہا کہ قسم اللہ کی وہ تو کوئی قریشی یا انصاری ہی ہو گا۔ کیونکہ یہی لوگ کھیتی کرنے والے ہیں۔ ہم تو کھیتی ہی نہیں کرتے۔ اس بات پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ہنسی آ گئی۔
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There are three persons whom Allah will not look at on the Day of Resurrection, nor will he purify them and theirs shall be a severe punishment. They are: -1. A man who possessed superfluous water on a way and he withheld it from travelers. -2. A man who gave a pledge of allegiance to a ruler and he gave it only for worldly benefits. If the ruler gives him something he gets satisfied, and if the ruler withholds something from him, he gets dissatisfied. -3. And a man who displayed his goods for sale after the `Asr prayer and he said, 'By Allah, except Whom None has the right to be worshipped, I have been given so much for my goods,' and somebody believes him (and buys them). The Prophet (ﷺ) then recited: "Verily! Those who purchase a little gain at the cost of Allah's Covenant and their oaths
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے عبدالواحد بن زیاد نے بیان کیا، ان سے اعمش نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے ابوصالح سے سنا، وہ بیان کرتے تھے کہ میں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تین طرح کے لوگ وہ ہوں گے جن کی طرف قیامت کے دن اللہ تعالیٰ نظر بھی نہیں اٹھائے گا اور نہ انہیں پاک کرے گا، بلکہ ان کے لیے درد ناک عذاب ہو گا۔ ایک وہ شخص جس کے پاس راستے میں ضرورت سے زیادہ پانی ہو اور اس نے کسی مسافر کو اس کے استعمال سے روک دیا۔ دوسرا وہ شخص جو کسی حاکم سے بیعت صرف دنیا کے لیے کرے کہ اگر وہ حاکم اسے کچھ دے تو وہ راضی رہے ورنہ خفا ہو جائے۔ تیسرے وہ شخص جو اپنا ( بیچنے کا ) سامان عصر کے بعد لے کر کھڑا ہوا اور کہنے لگا کہ اس اللہ کی قسم جس کے سوا کوئی سچا معبود نہیں، مجھے اس سامان کی قیمت اتنی اتنی مل رہی تھی، اس پر ایک شخص نے اسے سچ سمجھا ( اور اس کی بتائی ہوئی قیمت پر اس سامان کو خرید لیا ) پھر آپ نے اس آیت کی تلاوت کی «إن الذين يشترون بعهد الله وأيمانهم ثمنا قليلا» ”جو لوگ اللہ کو درمیان میں دے کر اور جھوٹی قسمیں کھا کر دنیا کا تھوڑا سا مال مول لیتے ہیں“ آخر تک۔
Narrated `Abdullah bin Az-Zubair:An Ansari man quarreled with Az-Zubair in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ) about the Harra Canals which were used for irrigating the date-palms. The Ansari man said to Az-Zubair, "Let the water pass' but Az-Zubair refused to do so. So, the case was brought before the Prophet (ﷺ) who said to Az-Zubair, "O Zubair! Irrigate (your land) and then let the water pass to your neighbor." On that the Ansari got angry and said to the Prophet, "Is it because he (i.e. Zubair) is your aunt's son?" On that the color of the face of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) changed (because of anger) and he said, "O Zubair! Irrigate (your land) and then withhold the water till it reaches the walls between the pits round the trees." Zubair said, "By Allah, I think that the following verse was revealed on this occasion": "But no, by your Lord They can have No faith Until they make you judge In all disputes between them

Narrated `Urwa:When a man from the Ansar quarreled with Az-Zubair, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Zubair! Irrigate (your land) first and then let the water flow (to the land of the others)." "On that the Ansari said, (to the Prophet), "It is because he is your aunt's son." On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Zubair! Irrigate till the water reaches the walls between the pits around the trees and then stop (i.e. let the water go to the other's land)." I think the following verse was revealed concerning this event: "But no, by your Lord They can have No faith Until they make you judge In all disputes between them
ہم سے عبدان نے بیان کیا، انہیں عبداللہ بن مبارک نے خبر دی، انہیں معمر نے، انہیں زہری نے، ان سے عروہ نے بیان کیا، کہ زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے ایک انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کا جھگڑا ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ زبیر! پہلے تم ( اپنا باغ ) سیراب کر لو، پھر پانی آگے کے لیے چھوڑ دینا، اس پر انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ یہ آپ کی پھوپھی کے لڑکے ہیں! یہ سن کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، زبیر! اپنا باغ اتنا سیراب کر لو کہ پانی اس کی منڈیروں تک پہنچ جائے اتنے روک رکھو، زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میرا گمان ہے کہ یہ آیت «لا وربك لا يؤمنون حتى يحكموك فيما شجر بينهم» ”ہرگز نہیں، تیرے رب کی قسم! یہ لوگ اس وقت تک مومن نہیں ہوں گے جب تک آپ کو اپنے تمام اختلافات میں حکم نہ تسلیم کر لیں۔“ اسی باب میں نازل ہوئی۔
Narrated `Urwa bin Az-Zubair:An Ansari man quarreled with Az-Zubair about a canal in the Harra which was used for irrigating date-palms. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), ordering Zubair to be moderate, said, "O Zubair! Irrigate (your land) first and then leave the water for your neighbor." The Ansari said, "Is it because he is your aunt's son?" On that the color of the face of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) changed and he said, "O Zubair! Irrigate (your land) and withhold the water till it reaches the walls that are between the pits around the trees." So, Allah's Apostle gave Zubair his full right. Zubair said, "By Allah, the following verse was revealed in that connection": "But no, by your Lord They can have No faith Until they make you judge In all disputes between them." (4.65) (The sub-narrator,) Ibn Shihab said to Juraij (another sub-narrator), "The Ansar and the other people interpreted the saying of the Prophet, 'Irrigate (your land) and withhold the water till it reaches the walls between the pits around the trees,' as meaning up to the ankles
ہم سے محمد بن سلام نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم کو مخلد نے خبر دی کہا کہ مجھے ابن جریج نے خبر دی، کہا کہ مجھ سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا، ان سے عروہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ایک انصاری مرد نے زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے حرہ کے ندی کے بارے میں جس سے کھجوروں کے باغ سیراب ہوا کرتے تھے، جھگڑا کیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا زبیر! تم سیراب کر لو۔ پھر اپنے پڑوسی بھائی کے لیے جلد پانی چھوڑ دینا۔ اس پر انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا۔ جی ہاں! آپ کی پھوپھی کے بیٹے ہیں نا! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا رنگ بدل گیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، اے زبیر! تم سیراب کرو، یہاں تک کہ پانی کھیت کی مینڈوں تک پہنچ جائے۔ اس طرح آپ نے زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کو ان کا پورا حق دلوا دیا۔ زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے تھے کہ قسم اللہ کی یہ آیت اسی بارے میں نازل ہوئی تھی «لا وربك لا يؤمنون حتى يحكموك فيما شجر بينهم» ”ہرگز نہیں، تیرے رب کی قسم! اس وقت تک یہ ایمان والے نہیں ہوں گے جب تک اپنے جملہ اختلافات میں آپ کو حکم نہ تسلیم کر لیں۔“ ابن شہاب نے کہا کہ انصار اور تمام لوگوں نے اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اس ارشاد کی بنا پر کہ ”سیراب کرو اور پھر اس وقت تک رک جاؤ، جب تک پانی منڈیروں تک نہ پہنچ جائے۔“ ایک اندازہ لگا لیا، یعنی پانی ٹخنوں تک بھر جائے۔
Narrated Asma' bint Abi Bakr:The Prophet (ﷺ) prayed the eclipse prayer, and then said, "Hell was displayed so close that I said, 'O my Lord ! Am I going to be one of its inhabitants?"' Suddenly he saw a woman. I think he said, who was being scratched by a cat. He said, "What is wrong with her?" He was told, "She had imprisoned it (i.e. the cat) till it died of hunger
ہم سے سعید بن ابی مریم نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے نافع بن عمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن ابی ملکیہ نے اور ان سے اسماء بنت ابی بکر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک دفعہ سورج گرہن کی نماز پڑھی پھر فرمایا ( ابھی ابھی ) دوزخ مجھ سے اتنی قریب آ گئی تھی کہ میں نے چونک کر کہا۔ اے رب! کیا میں بھی انہیں میں سے ہوں۔ اتنے میں دوزخ میں میری نظر ایک عورت پر پڑی۔ ( اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا ) مجھے یاد ہے کہ ( نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تھا کہ ) اس عورت کو ایک بلی نوچ رہی تھی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دریافت فرمایا کہ اس پر اس عذاب کی کیا وجہ ہے؟ آپ کے ساتھ والے فرشتوں نے کہا کہ اس عورت نے اس بلی کو اتنی دیر تک باندھے رکھا کہ وہ بھوک کے مارے مر گئی۔
